Amazing place to refresh!
Good place
Only saw the outside, but it looks like a very well maintained piece of Australian history … in a very dry setting, which contrasts nicely with the nearby inlet and bay.
Carss Bush Park, Blakehurst: located in the foreshore of Kogarah Bay, this wonderful parkland holds Regional Heritage Significance.
The house you can see in the photos was once owned by a Scotsman by the name of William Carss in 1863 and is now a museum (only opened on Sunday) run by the Kogarah Historical Environment.
A small museum to the history of Carss Park and the Carss family, also has a roll for the Kogarah area of people who served in WW1. The staff there were friendly and definitely cared about the piece of history they were preserving.
