Came in with two expectations; didn't want a kitten, and had to be good temperament with my 18month old daughter. We left 100% satisfied with a sweet boy ready to melt our hearts over and over again. His name was Ryu, and we call him Ryuk. Thank you!!!!!!
Horrible experience with an employee (a kitten foster) who screamed at me and slammed the phone in my ear when she heard that I had called the Cat Castle inquiring about my adoption application status. She apparently thought that by asking for the status I was “entitled” and didn’t think that I had to wait for a kitten. (Which isn’t the case at all, I was perfectly fine waiting however long was needed to have the kitten old enough to get his shots, etc and to be placed). This was apparently a huge misunderstanding but unfortunately I could not get a word in. She was screaming at me about how she works 80 hours a week, is a volunteer, etc. She screamed I see you work —blank—and think you’re entitled. She kept screaming at me, told me to forget about adopting from their organization and eventually hung up on me. I called her back to try to calm the situation and her reaction was the same. I am appalled that this happened. My son is devastated (he spent all of his allowance to buy the first round of food, litter, kitty bed, etc). I can’t believe that an organization whose goal is to place animals in loving homes has someone working for them who is so very unprofessional and crude. The animals deserve better; there are so many that need homes. I wonder how many other potential adopters have been treated like this and have looked else where to adopt.
You are greeted with cats and staff as soon as you walk in. People are very friendly and the facilities are kept clean.
I adopted two cats here. It was hard to take just take two, because there are so many wonderful cats here. Oh, and the staff in nice too. I can't imagine what it takes to keep so many stray and rescue cats so... nice. The staff is really good at staying in the background while you look at the wonderful cats. Did I mention the cats are wonderful? Because they are. Four months after adopting two, they are just part of the family.
Wonderful place!!! A non kill, non profit shelter. All staff are super friendly and go above and beyond many places. Each cat and kitten is given wonderful care within the Cat Castle and utd with shots, appts, etc. Staff work as a team and each is so caring for all the cats. The place is super clean and the cats wonderful to out roaming about.
