While Empire boasts an admirable degree of diversity in the seriousness and goals of members, the camaraderie is the common thread. Such an awesome group of likeminded people. Being apart of Empire has been a big part of me falling in love with the sport of triathlon.
I love Empire Tri Club!! I have been a member for 6 years now, after signing up as a beginner. I joined Empire Tri Club to prepare for my first olympic distance triathlon, the NYC Tri. That year I completed 5 triathlons. I have since made life-long friends and I have become an Ironman.
I enjoyed working with Olof and he was a great coach. I will definitively consider working with him again in the future! I did the Berlin Marathon a few weeks ago and had a new personal record by almost 20 minutes from my last marathon, finishing in 3:23.
Empire!!!!! These folks are the absolute best! If you are thinking of doing your first tri (or are in the process of training for your 50th) this group of fantastic individuals will not only make your journey way easier, but you will have an absolute blast in the process. I have genuine gratitude for this group of fantastic individuals and would highly recommend the group to anyone looking to join a great collection of people.
Empire is more than a tri club. Beyond the very skilled and caring Coaches and athletes are an incredibly caring, fun group of like minded folks. You will find every type of person here, every shape, every age group, every race, ; former athletes, first timers, weight loss, all with a common goal - to be successful in training and completing triathlons. Best of all they are doing it with a friendly smile on their faces. Well worth it! Beginners and competitive athletes alike will love Empire.
