You can't go wrong with a trip to Hocking Hills. Beautiful any time of year. September 2020 was very dry so no waterfalls and if there was water, it was but a trickle. Trails very dry and sandy. Use caution. Went during the week to avoid weekend crowds. Everyone on the trails were quite friendly and respectful of space. This is a great Ohio getaway destination!
First time being down here and I so loved it!
It was on my bucket list and I finally got it checked off my list!! But I would definitely come back in a heart beat!!
I had not been back to hike into Old Mans Cave in many years. There are a lot of stairs to go up and down. Well marked trails. Views are amazing. Free to enter. I enjoyed this trip very much.
Great state park, and free. The landscape, caves, and water flow are incredible - all basically underground. The Old Mans Cave trail system (one way loop from the visitors center) is not to be missed. We had just a few hours to spend here, and this hike was perfect.
Great little trek to some really cool sites. Devils bath tub is so cool, and Old Man's cave is very easy to get to. There is beauty all around you. Lots of steps, so beware those who don't like them, but overall very easy hike.
