Great way to spend a few hours. There is a good collection of modern art including indigenous art. I recommend a guided tour because the guides are very enthusiastic and knowledgable. When you have finished looking at art go to the cafe upstairs for a great view of the Opera House and circular quay from above unless a cruise ship happens to be docked which then blocks the view. But still great views of the Harbour bridge.
Great installations and collections and it is for free! We did not see a lot of museum-goers like in Europe. Maybe the museum culture isn’t there as much yet? I hope the museum will attract some famous international artists and showcase them charging some fees.
Great view from cafe. Efficient friendly staff. Have been there a few times never disappointed.$$. Good food. Reasonable selection of wines and beers.
very great place to enjoy time with your lovely ones. The art works normally contemporary, mixed media arts. Very fun to have a look if you love art as me!
