Paramount Tennis Club was formed in 1923 with 5 courts at Bultje St, Dubbo and in 2004 was extended to Wingewarra St with another 12 courts. Mid-week competitions We run four competitions a year that run for 10 weeks each. These competitions are mixed, run Monday (A grade), Wednesday (B grade) and Thursday (C grade) and are all doubles. Competitions commence at the start of each school term. Tournaments The annual Open Club Championships (May) and a seniors club championships (October) are always strongly represented. In 2016, the club won the inaugural Central West Regional Tennis League. Throughout the year, our junior players compete both in Dubbo and throughout the Central West in the Junior Development Series (JDS). For further details contact club coach Matt Edwards or the club. Coaching Our club coach Matt Edwards organises individual and group coaching sessions for adults and juniors, for players of all abilities and experience levels. For the adults, a mix of skills, drills and points and cardio tennis will allow you to make improvements while enjoying your tennis with other players of similar ability. Matt and his assistant coach Lyndall Murray conduct the Hot Shots program for juniors ranging in age 5 to 15 each Saturday morning. There is also a junior Friday afternoon competition for the kids from 4pm – 6pm. Social tennis If you aren’t looking to commit to a weekly competition, you are welcome to play socially at any time. Court hire is available 7 days a week, you just need to contact the Dubbo City Bowling Club to arrange court hire (6882 3619). Club Memberships By becoming a member of the club, you will be able to play unlimited tennis in the day time for no charge. Memberships cost $80 per adult which includes one child for free. Junior memberships of players aged 11 to 18 is $30 whilst kids under 10 are free.
