Save yourself the headache and spend your hard earned cash on a new bike at one of the other shops within a 15 minute walk of Sid's (I've had consistently positive experiences with Bicycle Habitat and Echelon Cycles which are both pretty close).
Back in June I purchased a new Cannondale and the entire experience has been a nightmare. As the old adage goes, it's not what happens that's important but how you respond and the team at Sid's has failed miserably at providing ANY level of acceptable customer service.
As soon as I started having issues with my new bike on day 3 of ownership, I was treated like a nuisance, never followed up with, and spoken to with blatant disrespect from the manager of Sid's as I expressed my concerns and tried to come to some resolution.
Notice the common thread in these reviews? I wish I would've before it was too late.
I needed a repair and my normal shop was closed due to covid. I thought it was gonna be an expensive thing but these guys diagnosed it on sight, fixed it within a day, and charged me all of $19. They didn't even mention the little tune-ups they did free of charge. My bike has been riding better than it has in a year for all of $19. I'll be buying by next bike here. Can't recommend enough.
I dropped into Sid's unintentionally, and I'm glad that I did. It was a wonderful experience, and the staff was welcoming and knowledgable. No egos. No pushy salespeople.
Th Staff are welcoming by the moment I enter the door and ask me if I need any assistance. Service there is great also!
I can't say enough good things about Paul and his services. You won't meet a nicer person and I've been very happy with the work he's done on both a more simple job putting the finishing touches on an out-of-the-box bike for my wife and a much more complex job assembling a custom flat-bar road bike from the components I provided. Excellent work done with a smile and a handshake - can't beat that!
