This is a very nice and challenging course, but I could only give it 1 star because of the management. We played the course the weekend after the Fourth of July, and it was overbooked, they ran out of carts by mid morning, and they did not have a Marshall to help maintain the pace of play.
We had a 10:30 tee time, but they ran out of carts just before we were up. We waited an hour, and we’re not able to tee off until after 11:30. This might be understandable if they were sending out singles, but they weren’t… They were only sending two golfers/cart. After waiting for over 45 minutes, we asked for a refund and they adamantly refused... only offering a return play voucher. To make matters worse, they would not offer a complementary bottle of water before our start nor at the turn, even though their greed caused us to be in near 90° heat for an extra hour. Though this is a nice enough course, I won’t return here...at least not until there is a change in policy and/or management.
Lovely venue for a wedding. Wait staff was very good and the setting was beautiful.
I had seen the recent reviews and I was really hoping my experience today would be better. After all, a lot of courses and businesses are struggling right now. That is understandable. However, the gentleman who checked us in at the pro shop this morning was not friendly or helpful or welcoming. That got us off on the wrong foot. The course itself is very unusual. Lots of switch backs and blind tee shots. There were several occasions where we weren't even sure which way the hole went. Most of the time, I would give a place another chance. I don't think I will this time.
Would love to go higher but this course has seen better days. Greens are in good shape but are very dry and bumpy. Tee boxes and sand traps are my biggest issue for the price this course charges. This course also has a good share of weeds in the rough and hard bare spots in place on the fairways. Beverage prices are also a little on the high side at $40 for a six pack. Pace of play was good and the course is as challenging as any in the area but they have some work to do to account for the price to play.
Great place to play. Reasonably priced, Gorgeous course, Awesome staff & so much fun w/my bro' & friends. We will return!
