It was great to go back and visit my old stomping ground and I was glad to be part of the farewell of that great man Rev Dr Bill Brown
A very relevant service for Good Friday and for our time, Bill Brown gave an excellent sermon as he always does
This is a fantastic place to congregate and today Chris Dane is speaking. He is by far one of my favourite speakers. Bill Brown has known me my whole life and cared for me my whole life. It can be hard to be a newcomer but they have people specifically looking out for new people who would love to get to know you and what brought you here
We visited Syndal Baptist Church on Sunday January 13, 2019 for their 10:30am service. It happened to coincide with an infant dedication and a panel Q&A on how best to worship God with our minds. Both my wife and I found the service excellent. With just two acoustic guitars, a talented pianist and a congregation in full voice, it was one of the most refreshing and heartfelt times of worship that we have had recent times. As first time guests, we loved the way the ushers found two seats for us in a packed auditorium. A number of people had name tags which we thought was a great idea, as we knew we could go to them if we wanted to, for further information regarding the church. This is a true multigenerational, multi ethnic church. Not always easy to achieve but Syndal have achieved it. The auditorium itself is light filled and the acoustics are very good. Syndal also make it very easy for people with physical limitations to be part of the service. There is plenty of car parking at the rear of the building that was easy to get to from Blackburn Road. We would suggest that some further signage with directions from the car park to the main auditorium would be helpful. Apart from that we really enjoyed our time at Syndal and would highly recommend it.
A good place to hear the truth about God, or get married!
