Tassiriki Ranch offers cosy cabin-style holiday accommodation in a quiet rural environment with a variety of boutique horse riding activities featuring horse riding trail rides on secluded beaches. Nestled amongst the cane fields on the North Coast of New South Wales just 15 minutes from the North Coast town of Ballina, Tassiriki Ranch occupies 40 acres of lush grasslands just 800 metres from secluded South Ballina Beach. Horse riding activities are available to guests staying at the ranch (see Stay & Ride) as well as day visitors. Guests with their own horses are welcome to bring their horses on holiday and experience a beachside horse riding holiday together. Tassiriki Ranch also offers "quality care for your horse" with short-term and long-term agistment available in both shared paddocks and private stables. HORSE RIDING Horse riding at award-winning Tassiriki Ranch is a comfortable day trip from Byron Bay and the Gold Coast and a great excuse for an overnight getaway from Brisbane. We offer a variety of accredited horse riding activities suitable for nervous beginners through to intermediate riders. Our activities include safe guided beach trail rides for couples, families, and small groups of friends, horse awareness and riding lessons for both adults and kids, as well as safe led pony rides for younger children. You don't have to be staying at Tassiriki Ranch to participate in these horse riding activities, however, advance bookings are essential.

Tassiriki Ranch deserves 5 stars. this is the best horse riding experience I've ever had. Nicole, Susi and Georgia are amazing hosts and excellent guides. the big emphasis is on safety so that the ride is enjoyable for everyone and at a level that is matched to the rider. most of the riders on our group were beginners and the horses were so well suited to each person, even my 10 year old son. riding along the beach and in the surf is an experience that is second to none. we would love to do this ride again when we come back to Ballina/Byron. they made our holiday so memorable.

Massive thank you to Nicole, Narissa and Georgie for helping me organise a wonderful surprise proposal to my girlfriend. Nicole kept in touch with me leading up to the event regarding the weather and other aspects of the afternoon. The couple’s beach ride was beautiful and Narissa was a wonderful guide and played the part perfectly when I mustered up the courage for the surprise proposal. The photos were wonderful and the cheese platter and champagne was suberb. Thank you for the wonderful afternoon and the wonderful company.
Excellent all around - healthy, happy horses in a beautiful beach location. Nicole and her team were exceptional, following safety regulations so that my son, who is a near beginner, was completely in his comfort zone and had a lot of fun. On the beach we saw an endangered breed of sandpiper and whales breaching again and again. How good is that!
I scheduled a private beach ride with Tassiriki Ranch to propose to my girlfriend. There were a few hitches along the way with the ring, but Nicole was great with communication and worked with me every step of the way. Not to mention that the actual proposal was amazing! Beautiful, secluded beach and an awesome ride. They also did a great job with the mini orientation ahead of time so I felt comfortable on the horse. Overall amazing experience.
