The school is big yes, but overcrowded. The students are very disobedient, intolerable, and ignorant. I may not be a teacher but just walking to my classes I’ve noticed this. It could be worse but it could be better as well.
Historic School.
Paul A. Rothchild famous record producer graduated here in 1953. He worked with The Doors, and Janis Joplin's final album Pearl.
*****
Unfortunately THS is a VERY CLIQUEISH Environment, the parents are just as bad and not friendly or welcoming as well as some are competitive and petty. The staff needs to do a better job at unifying the students as this is the most important stage in a young persons life. We all can recall our H.S. experiences and who we were and were not. If your child is not related to other students for them to automatically be accepted into a "clique," sports star (which is much of the male staff's focus to bring a "win" to the school) or a terpsy/majorette dancer. Then your child will only benefit from the mostly supportive teachers to navigate them through the tricky process off college acceptance, this is the only reason why I rate this school 3 stars.
I'm trying to get in touch with the school to shoot an independent film there. I'd love to work with this particular school. Any information on who to get in touch with is greatly appreciated.
Very good athletic program, very diverse, and many other extra curricula activities with required community service!
