The Learning village has become a more family oriented center since Melanie and Rich bought it back. The employees are very welcoming and greet each child with a smile. I have three children at this center and love it!! My oldest is in the school age room. He had a lot of fun going on field trips to the movie theater, the park, and learning new games during summer camp. My 3 year old has been here since he was a year old. He has learned so much from the teaching staff. They have worked on building his fine and gross motor skills, potty training, academics, and learning how to build social skills. He has loved every teacher that has worked with him. We still have a random day where drop off is full of tears, but the teachers always make him feel better and reassure him that we are coming back at the end of the day. The center supplies the children with breakfast, morning snack, and afternoon snack. For nap time each child has their own cot, crib, or pack and play, they do not share them. My youngest is in the infant room. They are amazing! I can check and see how my daughter is doing through out the day by checking the app. They update the app when she eats, sleeps, does an activity, and gets her diaper change. I can also check the app to see what my other two children have done that day. The center is very clean and organized. It is also a secure place to send your child. There is a code to get into the front and back door, security cameras in every room, and a fenced in play areas for the older children and toddler. I would highly recommend this center to anyone that is looking for child care.
My daughter first entered The Learning Village when she was 9 months old. She has had a fantastic experience in both the infant and the 1 year old room. Different age groups each have their own classroom tailored just for their needs. There is a fenced outdoor area for the children to play that is equipped with play equipment suited to their ages. They are provided a variety of activities through out the day. The environment is structured and well-thought out. Daily reports allow me to see what my child is eating, when diapers are changed, how long she naps, and what activities she does. Best of all, the staff is terrific. They handle the challenges of childcare with a calm, positive attitude.
I feel that staffing is an issue. even tho they do have the "state minimum" requirements for staffing they could not handle the minimum amount of children they had enrolled. I also feel that the kids were not receiving basic stimulation and care that an infant needs. Was not happy with them for some time and should've left sooner.
I have had my Daughter at TLV since she was 6 weeks. The experience here has been wonderful. The teachers know her so well and truly care about her well being. I really like how personable the people are and the amount of care they give. I would recommend them to anyone that is a new parent in the area looking for a great daycare program.

The owner and teachers are nurturing, creative, innovative, and energetic. I have had a child in every room from infant to preschool and each time I see them grow, thrive, and love learning .Thank you for loving our children and shaping them into lifelong learners.
