Although, our trip was great there are some things that are disappointing! Instructor was kind and very educated! It was an amazing experience! We won’t forget it!
However, we were unable to switch cameras on the horses. I called about taking photos and video and I confirmed that we would get a chance to do this. I respect that we can’t swap cameras, but I thought I would be able to get a good photo after spending so much money.
We only got two photos from a staff members phone on the beach. Their was not new. Their phones pixel resolution was not good ; you can hardly see our eyes ( very blurry). I was very surprised by this. I thought we would be able to get a few good photo of us on the beach. I wanted to get it printed on a canvas for an anniversary gift by this August. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to do this due to the poor two photos I got. I wasn’t asking for a photo shoot. I just thought I would be able to use my camera I brought on the ride.
After all the fees and the tip I spent over $350 and I only have two photos like this from the beach. This is a bit surprising and unfortunate.
Nicole was very knowledgeable and friendly. The guide Preston was fantastic as well as very informative. We enjoyed riding horses on the beach.
We have boarded four of our Daughters horses at The Stables at Frederica for many years . The Stables has been a home away from home for our family. Our Daughter Sophia has traveled all over the country competing in Hunter jump and Dressage disciplines with Head Coach Allie Zorn. The Stables at Frederica is a facility like no other. The range of riding that they offer, is what’s so unique !! From the different levels of riding for children and teens to adults . Some who just lesson or others who come to learn about being a serious Equestrian. Kids love the pony rides while adults take beautiful beach rides or even a scenic ride of our southern marshes views. There is something for everyone at The Stables at Frederica whether your just visiting or have made Saint Simons your new home. It is truly one of the most beautiful facilities on the Southern east coast!
Very very nice. Beautiful Stables, very helpful staff I highly recommend going by and seeing the Stables and if you are planning a trip down Saint Simon I recommend making an appointment ahead of time but they were able to fit my son in the last minute for a ride.
My favorite place to visit on St. Simons Island! We rode on the beach and saw an Osprey, tons of huge, beautiful shells all over (thanks Forrest for getting down and getting a few for me! ????), and of course, the beautiful beach. And I got to check off my bucket list to ride a Percheron. There is quite a selection of different breeds/sizes of horses to ride and the people there are very nice. The property is GORGEOUS and peaceful.
