Not many stores are open, but there are still a few restaurants open that are pretty good. The village has a few different jacuzzi areas but only one of the areas is open... there are also a few different work out rooms and also 2 different laundry facilities.
Our first time at the Village. We managed to hit the 1st snow storm of the season. Because of the snow, we appreciated the underground parking. Check in was fast and friendly. We got the 1 bedroom condo. Room was clean and had most the necessities you would need. We had room 2228 that faces the courtyard so noise wasn't a problem. We love the convenience that the location offers. The internet was public and sufficiently fast but there wasn't that many people here during our stay. The only downside that I saw was that the whole 4 stories wing only had 2 elevators and 1 door to enter/exit the wing. You can't use the stairs. I can imagine trying to get the elevator during peak checkout time would be a nightmare. Also the 1 door that allows entry didn't work during 1 morning and if you're on the outside, there's no handle so you can't manually open the door. I had to wait for someone exiting to gain entry. Fast checkout is by dialing 0 on your room phone. There's no checkout using your tv like some hotels. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Lodge.
So far my experience is above expectations. Service is on point, the place is very cozy and roomy. Why buy a condo in Mammoth when you can rent at this lodge. Love it so far. If my experience change over the next 3 days I will update this post.
This place has everything u need . Food. Cloths .and more
This place was in easy walking distance from our condo. We walked there initially for a scoop of ice cream from Hugs. The mint chip on a waffle cone was delicious. We also visited the public restrooms...which were clean and easy to access under McCoy's. We strolled around the rest of the village, which had many food choices for takeout our outdoor dining. We ended our stroll at The General Store and picked up a few odds-n-ends. I guess the only disappointment was that a number of shops have closed...possibly due to COVID-19. Other than that, it was an overall pleasant experience.
