Fantastic, very professional service. I was able to get an appointment quickly for my 10 week old baby. Amy was very professional and addressed my concerns. She has provide me with a clear plan of how to continue therapies at home. Highly recommended. Fees are a bit pricey but what do you expect for such a good service. Thoroughly worth it.
My feelings are quite mixed about this place because all of the therapists I have dealt with (three) have been fantastic, but all of them have left over the last year so I feel there are serious retention issues. It's difficult for young children to understand why their therapist is constantly changing and this disrupts their progress, and so I feel much greater attention needs to be paid to this side of the practice.
My contact with the manager/owner has been minimal but I can see why there are retention issues. Apart from a very patronising manner to staff, clients and their parents, fees have gone up enormously while facilities have declined. The move to temporary premises has not been managed smoothly and has gone on much longer than anticipated, and communication about this has been poor. It seems a bit rich to raise fees significantly while facilities are so much worse than at the previous location. I would question whether some of the facilities meet the building code, for example with the toilet being located within the same airspace as, and quite audible from, the staff kitchen! Also, they have not bothered to get their HICAPS machine working for the entire time they've been at the new site so parents have to make their health insurance claims themselves.
In theory, it's great to have a place that offers so many therapies tailored to children all in the one place, and you may still find you need to come here because there's not much competition, but it's disappointing that management can't provide a pleasant enough working environment to retain their therapists long-term, and also that parents are being charged so much while facilities are currently so poor.
I have been taking my daughter here for a couple of years on and off. The team helped get my little one walking and have provided check-ups since then. I was desperate to get someone to help when I first started coming and they were a great help and a very professional private practice.
Debbie and the team at Therapies for Kids are excellent. I would definitely recommend parents come here if their child needs OT/physio.
My daughter, who has a developmental disorder, has had several sessions. Her balance and walking improved noticeably after the first session, and has continued to improve with each session!!
Really, really disappointed with how the service from the business side has declined over time.
While I get that they have a business to run, management have on a number of occasions been blatant about the importance of making money that has left a sour taste in my mouth. Very disappointing, as the individual therapists have been great in our experience.
