Such a great range of animals with terrific enclosures, well planned to put the animals first. There are also plenty of additions since we were here last, including various wet areas for hot days, and sprayed cool zones to cool off on hot days. In addition there were various extra attractions depending when you go, such as bubbles to chase. Well recommended, consider a zoos pass if you have kids and are around Melbourne.
One of the best themed zoo I have been too. So much to see and doo. Lots of toilets around. And many activities to keep little ones interested. Can easily spend half a day here. Time goes very quickly. There is also the bus safari tour and water activities for hot days.
Always a great day out. Have been zoo members for 8 years and still enjoy coming as much as the first time! Werribee nail the safari! Great experience and great to see the animals moving around with freedom. As with the other zoos... There are always changes a plenty. Always something new to see or sample which is great as you get to see where your membership funds go. Well worth a visit with the family. ????
Worth doing if you book guided safari. Other exhibits hardly see any animals, food is expensive ( though tasty) and flies intense due to animals. But I’d do it all again due to the wonderful guided tour through Savannah with close up look at giraffes rhinos etc Tour guide Mani was awesome she obviously loved the animals and was highly trained and informative.
Beautiful animals. If it's a hot day out the animals might be hiding in shaded areas. The open range tour was well worth the money paid for. Beautiful herbivores grazing the grassland. Saw 3 beautiful Southern White Rhinos, many giraffes. Would recommend!
