I called this organization to receive help with my rent. I was put in a situation during this pandemic that was beyond my control; that caused me to loose my income and resources. It caused my rent to be behind. I called in April to get help, and the lady told me to apply for unemployment, and If that didn’t work out call back. I wasn’t able to get unemployment, so I called back. I was told I couldn’t get assistance because, I didn’t have a job and when I found a job call back. My rent is behind, I have had job interviews but haven’t had any luck. I will be homeless soon, if I don’t get any help. I was very disappointed in their efforts to help me. If they had given me some assistance it would have been appreciated, but they did nothing at all.
Great place to get emergency help. Just make sure you have all the paperwork they request.
The concept of the program is a great and necessary to Frederick. However, the women at the front desk are rude. I would volunteer at the community garden and whenever I would walk inside to ask for water I would get dirty looks. I don't even want to imagine how they treat the community members they help.
Great help but need to help homeless men more with SHELTER/ AFFORDABLE HOUSING
I went there today to get help with rental assistance. As I handed the paperwork to the receptionist, she handed off the paperwork to someone in the back and I heard the staff members talking about me. After that, I heard them laughing really loud. My feelings were hurt. I don’t think this place is empathetic towards people who need help and I will not be coming back to this organization for help.
