I went to see the show on Thursday and it was absolutely terrible. The speed everyone sang the songs was so slow I almost got up and left but I suffered through the rest. Then one of the guys with the glasses mumbled out his words like he forgot what he was singing. It’s like no one even cared to be there on stage singing. But wait this musical is not right at all they had music from phantom of the opera which is not a roger and Hammerstein musical! As a Director it makes me sick to think that little theaters like this can get away with ripping off musicals. I’m going to contact whichever company licensed you people this musical and report you because you do not have the rights to some of the songs. You took music from another musical of theirs and added it to yours. Which I know without a doubt you have no rights to. That’s why you didn’t add the song titles to the playbill. So you don’t have to tell whoever licensed the musical to you what songs you illegally added in. You may think that was clever but it wasn’t. I never been to a musical that had legal rights to music and not seen what songs they were singing until I saw this mess of a musical you made. And with Phantom of the Opera I know without a doubt Rogers and Hammerstein did not give you permission to use that music in your musical, it is not and I repeat phantom of the opera is not their musical! I will make sure that you never get licensed by whichever company gave you these rights. You added in songs that aren’t even from this musical. You made it your own musical it is not a Rogers and Hammerstein musical it is whatever persons garbage musical you made it. Again I’m going to report you I’m going to make sure that this never happens again. And make sure you can’t ever rip off and do an illegal musical like this again!
