Great school
im a student
The parking situation for parents is awful
STEAM has the support, as well as the funding, im certain, to be able to provide the kids and teachers that attend a place of their own to grow and learn. They currently share Hillcrest Elementary building (which isnt that big of a building to begin with) with the regular enrolled elementary students.
Every event that I've been to, before, during and after school, every room is pretty much shoulder to shoulder packed with just students and their projects alone, then add all the families to that, it's ridiculous. The hallways are packed up and down their entirety all the same.
With this being a more hands on approach to teaching and learning, it makes me Wonder if they're both being limited by what they're actually able to build, etc, bc of the lack of free space they're being provided with.
Kids go there now, still not crazy about common core, but they both LOVE Science and STEAM focuses more on that and technology
