I did my Masters education over here. The place is awesome. Education everything is good. This place treated me very well. I would like to say thank you.
Still has great curriculum, however the area surrounding campus is run-down. At night, the town is dangerous.
Its a quiet place with not much to do during a pandemic. But none the less, its a gorgeous campus, and worth the visit.
Clocktower
Beautiful campus, surrounded by beautiful Shawnee National Forest. I studied Geology, which had an impressive department. Carbondale is a fun town, and it is large enough to have everything you need, including live music and nice restaurants. SIU also has awesome sports facilities if that is your interest - all D1.
