Art Est. Art School and Gallery is a dynamic creative hub for the visual arts in Sydney’s inner west established in 2008 by Leichhardt resident, Jennifer McNamara. Located in a spacious, light-filled warehouse, Art Est. is an inspiring art space with four dedicated teaching studios, artist studios and art gallery creating a community for both children and adults. “Our class sizes are kept to only 10-12 students, ensuring each student receives the individual tuition they need” says Jennifer McNamara, Director. Art Classes are available weekdays, evenings and Saturday mornings. “We also have a great range of single day weekend art workshops available, a perfect option for visitors to Sydney looking for things to do, or for someone who doesn’t have time to commit to a term class” adds Ms McNamara. Art Est is an amazing Art School in Leichhardt. I am in my second term of ceramics and absolutely love it. I have always wanted to try my hand at being a potter and now I am. The school is lovely, small intimate classes, the teachers are extremely knowledgable and provide endless support. I would highly recommend to anyone who would like to try their hand at potting. It is definitely a skill, I am not sure I will ever master but I am loving the ride!
Loved the new Art Brunch series - took a girlfriend to try it out and we had the best time! Shorter 3 hour classes great for trying something new. Lovely tutors who were very experienced, passionate and clearly knowledgeable in their own right. Can't wait to come back and try the ceramics classes!
Great art school, with a varied selection of after school and weekend term art classes for kids from the age of 5. Cartoons, ceramics, etc are also offered for the older kids and adults. Plenty of adult classes available as well. Limited free parking outside the art studio. Easily accessible by LR as well. Disabled access for entrance and parking. Website is very informative.
My 6yo and 7yo attended their school holiday class and loved it!
