A basic but nice enough music store to get everything you need, even if all it is is a new set of strings or a capo or a strap for your guitar. Shame they downsized to such a tiny space for their shop, its very cramped and a bit hard to move in there now if there's 3 or 4 other customers in there at the same time.
Ian is fantastic with servicing and working on guitars and extremely knowledgeable and they have a decent enough variety of guitars for a beginner to pick from, they don't really carry any higher end brands like Martin, Maton, Fender or Gibson though which is kind of a shame but they do get some rather nice Washburn guitars come through from time to time. good music store but waaaaaay too small now. I suppose the rent would probably be the main killer near the levee...
Cannot recommend Ian enough. He has tweaked and set up 2 of my guitars (Gibson LP Custom & Fender Telecaster American Deluxe) and let me tell you - this guy knows his stuff!
He's the best in the business.
