I took my daughter and her friend trail riding at Valhalla last week, on a magnificent clear winters day.
The horses they provided were perfectly suited to our various riding abilities, and were very well behaved.
The People were so lovely too, and the day was just wonderful...in fact if we hadn't run out of time later in the week, we were considering going for a second ride that week beacause of the fantastic time we had.
Can so highly reccomend Valhalla!
We had the escape package with our family. The staff are all fantastic and very laid back. We felt very welcome. More then enough tasty food supplied. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The weather was not great, but they went above and beyond to ensure an excellent horse riding experience. Definitely would love to come back again.
Awesome time here, the tour guide Craig was a legend, spun a few interesting tales. We took the 90 minute trail ride through the bush, very natural beautiful. My horse, KB, was well trained and easy to ride, I could still control him and he wasn't all about following the horse in front.
I would go here again, just wish they did proper lessons!
We were a bit disappointed about the farm stay. We did not feel welcome and had the feeling that they did not really want us to be there or have a horse back ride. So we left a day earlier which was fine for them. The game room was pretty dirty as if nobody used it for years although table tennis and pool Billard was available which was good. The rooms were a mixture of partly modernised and partly shabby. It has potential in any case.
My wife and I have been coming to Valhalla for the past 5yrs each time for my birthday. Each year there is something new and upgraded to see. Great place to get away with fantastic staff. Cathy and Craig are experienced instructors very welcoming and make YOU feel like family. The cabins are just comfortable and have ALL the mod cons that is needed. Highly recommended and a must for me to visit every year, with my wife. That's why we rate it a 5 star!
