After two years of physical inactivity I read that Thunder Sports & Fitness, a new member of The Greater Waterbury of Chamber of Commerce, was offering a “Fitness over 50” workout session. Very nervously I made an appointment to check out Brian and his gym. I was warmly greeted by members finishing up an evening class. The space is exceptionally clean, bright and conveniently located so I gave it a try! Now as a member for over, year I have experienced Brian to be an excellent trainer who adapts the workouts for each person in a small group setting to reach their goals. He is motivational, flexible and respectful with all of his members no matter if they are in their 20’s, 80’s or somewhere in between. Brian’s commitment to his community and clients make Thunder Sports & Fitness the ideal gym for me to be a member of.
I started in April at Thunder fitness. I was struggling with weight and not exercising. It was the best decision for me. Brian works with you to reach goals. He helps modify exercises to the level you can accomplish and helps you individually. Joining Thunder fitness has helped me have more energy, loose weight, and feel more energetic.
I turned 50 on the day of Brian's annual Open House, and I walked in and signed up. Best decision I've made in a long time. I knew Brian for a long time before becoming a client, and I knew he was a great guy. But not I know he is a great trainer, who designs specific workouts that maximizes your time, and concentrates on your needs. I've joined many gyms over the years, and I have had money coming out every month for gyms I stopped attending. But this is different. Only six months in so far, but I never miss a session.
I had not exercised for way too many years when I joined Thunder. Now, after just 4 months, I feel much better physically and mentally. I am moving again and I love it. Brian is a great trainer and motivator and knows just how to get me trying harder. I am hooked!!
Working out at Thunder has been such a great experience. It has given me the confidence and knowledge of a proper workout all while making it fun and exciting. I use to dislike going to the gym and trying to lift weights and figure things out on my own. With Brian by my side guiding me every step of the way I can now say I enjoy strength training and the progress I have made in the last 5 months. The laid back atmosphere and smaller classes are exactly what I needed to get back into the healthy lifestyle that I was missing.
