This dance school is fairly good, although not a place to dance and have fun with it, its a very well structured disciplined dance school!
I used to love dancing, but after my experience here I quit and essentially haven't danced for the last 12 years.
The classes were good, but the treatment of myself and fellow peers put me off, I feel like that element of discipline in the classes psychologically scarred me in early years of my life and I sincerely hope no one else has been affected in such a way here. Its a pricey mistake to keep going going to a class that makes you unhappy!
TBDA is a professionally run, yet relaxed, friendly, nurturing and fun dance school!
This is my daughter's 7th year at this school; she started when she was only 5 years old. She had a great time in the early stages of learning the art of dance and now that she is older and more accomplished, there are many styles for her to explore from Ballet, Tap, Contemporary and Jazz to Hip Hop.
Tanya's dedication is obvious and all her staff is equally passionate. I can't recommend them more highly.
As one of the students present 25yrs ago at the inception of TBDA, I have no hesitation in recommending this studio. I have nothing but fond memories of my dancing days and the friendships fostered in such a fun environment. My love of dancing was nutured there and remains today.
Our daughter has been taking classes at TBDA since 2013. She loves all her dance classes – tap, ballet and contemporary and this year is taking her first pointe class. We went to a few different dance schools in the early years, but this is the one we have stayed with. The teachers are lovely, lessons are well prepared and communication to parents (ie regarding ballet exams and concerts) is also excellent.
Our daughter looks forward to her dance lessons every week – she loves to dance, and this school has nurtured her enjoyment of dance as she learns skills and develops her technique!
My daughter has danced for over 8 years at TBDA and looks forward to every lesson. Royal Academy of Dance high standards are maintained. Teachers are friendly and professional.
