This place is terrific. The tennis courts are in great shape and they've just redone the lighting. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I haven't ever taken lessons there so I can't speak to how good the pros are. The owner is great. I left my phone in the club by accident one day and it closed for the night. I had a flight scheduled for early the next morning so I was desperate to get that phone back. I emailed the owner and he came and unlocked the doors for me at 11:30 pm. Wow.

Been coming here for years and never had a complaint. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. However, recently I've been going to another club during my time back home due to them being basically shut down for an entire week. I went in yesterday to get a day pass for the weight room and was told the pool, gymnasium, weight room, and treadmills were all closed. Why even unlock the door if nobody can do anything in there? When everything is in order its not a bad place to go but I promise you there are better places to spend your money.

Pomperaug has a very strong and succesful swim team, yet, most of the athletics budget is spent on maintaining the football field, even though they suffer defeat after defeat. The school is also infested with drugs and is know as the "pharmacy" by both students and members of the surrounding community. Academics are mediocre and cannot compare with the academics of high schools such as Amity and Staples of Woodbridge and Westport, respectively. lel

When I went, to keep a long story short, horrible, and now I hear from younger people it's turned more into a prison then a school. Advise sending your kiddos to another school. That and I hear much of the few good teachers they did have, left. Actually, I don't think I've heard a single good thing about it in years. Should tell you something. Any young ones reading this, drop out and go to foothills adult ed. They where great with me, streamlined my HSD instead of 4 years of torture, not a GED, but they give a actual HSD. Can't believe i suffered 2 years there.. =/ Goodluck kiddos! (Disclaimer: This is a personal opinion, I hold no liability for it, as this is america and I am entitled to share my personal opinions with others.) =D

Great place to sail, there is a Snipe Sailing Fleet, group of Triathlon participants, and a amazing view of the lake. They offer sailing lessons to adults and children.

We moved in August 2018. We needed a Preschool where my daughter would be challenged. While she was born in early July and old enough to go to Kindergarten she was not emotionally or mature enough to be in Kindergarten. We are great full for the Southington Y to have the Jump Start Program. Any parent who is on the fence about their child and age. We recommend that you check out Jump Start. As a CT certified Teacher I often ask parents while it doesn’t matter in elementary school think down the road to high school. Do you want your 14 year old in a classroom with 16 year olds who are learning how to drive? I wish we had moved a year ago. So my son could have taken advantage of Jump Start. Waiting a year has made all the difference for my children.

I've actually attached a copy of the email string between me and whom ever was replying to the emails because it is so unbelievable that they are running a business the way they are. I'm stunned - shocked even that they replied the way they did. We had a beautiful day to ride and I had arranged for someone to watch my kid,( took day off from work), so that my friend and I could ride, and they completely bailed on us the night before. I could understand if someone fell ill, but to outright tell me it was her birthday and that our money wasn't worth her time is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I will be posting this exact review on Groupon to discourage anyone from supporting this organization. Maybe they should be a little more customer focused if they plan on being part of the community.

My mother and sister board their horse there and love the attention she gets. When I get to visit it is like I am part of the farm family too. All of us couldn't ask for a better place to board our horse, take lessons and become better horse owners. Mikalia has always been very professional and helpful at all times. The farm feels like our home away from home.

The people are great, personable, and the horses are great. They aren't typical trail horses but in a good way. They weren't trying to eat the grass all of the time, lol. The trail was great and the instructors made sure that we knew what we were doing before going on it! A+

Great golf course and beautiful views but terrible service, I played here at least twice a month all summer and the woman who I think owns the place was very rude and not accommodating at all.I had a tee time reserved with 3 carts and was told that there were not enough carts and when that problem was resolved we were told we had to rush our pace of play to accommodate a golf tournament going on that day. Very poor customer service, we played 9 holes with 2 groups in under 2 hours. They won’t see our 200 dollars again I can tell you that. Felt like we were being watched.Should have not let us make a tee time at that time then.

Had a great time with my son... only drawback was no online tee times, so we had to wait a little on getting out. Course is a unique track, with accuracy trumping distance.

Truly a test of your skill as a golfer. Some tee boxes are in need of upgrading/repair/enlargement. Some parts of fairways need reseeding and better care. Greens are very difficult but well kept. Worth a play if you are in the area.

After two years of physical inactivity I read that Thunder Sports & Fitness, a new member of The Greater Waterbury of Chamber of Commerce, was offering a “Fitness over 50” workout session. Very nervously I made an appointment to check out Brian and his gym. I was warmly greeted by members finishing up an evening class. The space is exceptionally clean, bright and conveniently located so I gave it a try! Now as a member for over, year I have experienced Brian to be an excellent trainer who adapts the workouts for each person in a small group setting to reach their goals. He is motivational, flexible and respectful with all of his members no matter if they are in their 20’s, 80’s or somewhere in between. Brian’s commitment to his community and clients make Thunder Sports & Fitness the ideal gym for me to be a member of.

I turned 50 on the day of Brian's annual Open House, and I walked in and signed up. Best decision I've made in a long time. I knew Brian for a long time before becoming a client, and I knew he was a great guy. But not I know he is a great trainer, who designs specific workouts that maximizes your time, and concentrates on your needs. I've joined many gyms over the years, and I have had money coming out every month for gyms I stopped attending. But this is different. Only six months in so far, but I never miss a session.

I started in April at Thunder fitness. I was struggling with weight and not exercising. It was the best decision for me. Brian works with you to reach goals. He helps modify exercises to the level you can accomplish and helps you individually. Joining Thunder fitness has helped me have more energy, loose weight, and feel more energetic.

I have been going here for 4 years and this is my final year. Everything was good. You might have to get used to it, but eventually, it wont feel so complicated. The teachers are really nice, the atmosphere is great. So i would totally recommend going here.
