Good thing - it challenged me more than public school; which really isn't saying much in itself. The school favors what they call "lifers" or people who have been there their entire lives. The longer you've been there the more rewards and teachers favor you get. Teaching staff tend to also favor the children who are better off and events tend to be centered around them. Race plays a huge role. If you're a white American this will be the best school for you to go to. They have racist teachers, who will do everything they can to put you down and separate groups. It has an unsupportive staff when an unfair and quite frankly unlawful action takes place from a teacher. Why? Because they've been their for a long time. In the lower school they've had children taken out of the school because of racism and separation of students. Teachers are completely against creationists and think anyone against evolution is stupid (they've literally called students stupid and argued with them for believing their religion). Teachers complain and don't like their jobs. Students don't get a social life (many go in social and come out socially awkward) and aren't in the best place for sports.

My son really enjoys the preschool program and I've observed impressive advancements in his language and artistic development. The teachers and faculty have an upbeat attitude and clearly take pride in the quality of education at Maumee Valley.

Was here for outdoor wedding. Tamarin is beautiful. Food is delicious. Only negative was the young women were handling food without gloves. I requested to one server that she put gloves on prior to handling food for our table. She responded that she had just washed her hands. We felt that didn't matter and all servers should be wearing gloves. Germs/bacteria are real... Covid-19 is real

Everything from the initial meeting with Vicky, to the dinner taste testing, to the planning went incredibly smooth. Vicky has a passion for making sure everything goes according to plan and it reflects with the rest of her staff. Also the food is amazing! They handled all of the decorating and tear down. All we had to do was give them our ideas and colors and they were able to deliver exactly what we had imagined. The amount of work put in by the team at the Tamaron is worth every penny and was such a load off of our minds on the big day. I can't recommend them enough!

My daughter has been going to Great Lakes Global TKD for over a year now. I can't not be more proud of her. She's has grown up so much with the sport and her self confidence has improved! The instructors are all wonderful, and the other students and families were very welcoming and helpful.

I was looking for a martial arts school for my daughter. She was 6 at the time I enrolled her and I was looking for a school that would be good with kids and help boost her self confidence. Great Lakes Tae Kwon Do surpassed every expectation I had. All of the instructors are very nurturing with the kids and make the class fun as well as providing quality instruction and building up their self confidence. The instructors are great role models for the kids as well. My daughter has been a student for over 3 years and loves going. In addition, the school provides self defense classes free of charge to immediate family members and holds several family friendly events for the students throughout the year like movie nights, Tae Kwon Do summer camp and tournaments. Finally, Great Lakes Tae Kwon Do has all the proper credentials of a first rate martial arts school. They are members of the International Tae Kwon Do Federation and have the highest credibility in their certification both nationally and internationally. I can't say enough good things about this school. If you are looking for a top quality school for your kids this is it.
