I still go to this school currently a junior & one thing I can say is that your kids will be educated but some of thepeople aren't right. Some of the deans can care less whether or not your getting harassed by staff. They don't do anything about it. I've been followed into the bathroom and back to my class countless times for no apparent reason by staff & so have my friends. One of my friends was watched through the crack of the stall by a staff member .. All the kids do drugs but they do offer a good amount of courses to learn from and take. It's not all bad but it for sure isn't the same anymore and I personally think some of it has to do with staff, some deans, and possibly some students. The teachers are good, and they have tutoring almost any period to catch up with anything or missing work. Maine south is ALRIGHT not too good but not horribly bad.
The greatest school ever to help me succeed my desire to become a doctor. Thanks for educating me the right way.

I found a student's backpack lying in the middle of the sidewalk on my commute home from work. Seeing as this is not a normal place for this item, I checked it's contents and it was a student of this school. I called expressing concern about the student's well-being and the woman that answered stated "students leave their things all the time." At the school, sure. At home, sure. Not in the middle of the street. So, she told me to bring the bag to the school. I asked her to contact the student's parents to assure his safety and she acted clueless. We live in Chicago and crazy people do crazy things all the time, regardless of the neighborhood. I took the bag to the school, the security guard literally rolled his eyes at me and jokes about how kids leave all kinds of things lying around. When I told him it wasn't just outside and it was several blocks away, he managed to express a slight amount of concern and gave the child's name to another woman. Who knows what she did with it. He said "thank you" and quickly returned to whatever he was doing, not seeming to care about the welfare of one of their students. I hope this child is ok, and I am rather unimpressed by the employees that I encountered today.
Both of my children attend the lycee and we couldn't be happier with the level of education they receive there. He teachers are very experienced, dedicated and the program is very structured. The community is diverse, strong and very supportive.
I love this school the life long friends i made and a life’s worth of of knowledge

The teachers here work so hard and care deeply about their students. As a parent of a student, she is honored to go to this school and actually looks forward to it. The sport teams are so connected, and the extracurricular opportunities make the students strive for excellence.
My friend Jyle is going there next year and I feel that this will be a safe learning enviorment for him and he will succeed as he grows as a scholar while attending this High School

On top of all this, rude employees when you have to interact with them. Why would you ever give your money to a business like this that doesn't invest in its facility or people?

This is a delicious pizza I tried last night @4200 Kirchoff Rd, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008 Marathon Gas station.
I went inside to prepay the clerk for my gas, as I’m paying I turn left and see this amazing little food set up they have! They make the pizza there and then only takes up to 10 mins or less! I had my favorite Hawaii’s with barbecue sand & let me tell you it was amazing! Not to mention I was starving!
They also have wings, lasagna ect.

McFetridge has the most passionate yoga instructors. Each and everyone brings 100% to their practice. Their guidance is very easy to understand. There is no judgement whether you're a beginner like me or a long time yogi.
Great cpd ice skating classes, tennis, yoga and ballet. They are on a different schedule then the rest of the park districts so check their website for updates. Also great for open skate when available.

I’d also like to say Bryan F Deserves a raise, I was there almost everyday this summer and he was super helpful and always working like crazy.
Midtown is the best club in Chicago hands down.
Updated review: in my past review below, I complained about too many kids in the pool. This will likely still be an issue going forward, but I'm bumping this review up to 5 stars to show appreciation for how seriously Midtown has taken their COVID safety effort and how comfortable I feel at the club because of those efforts. The club is the only place I go besides the grocery store and it's saving my sanity. Thank you Midtown for all your efforts. Best of luck with the ongoing crazy situation and best wishes that all employees stay safe and well.
Old Review: This club has everything, but there are way too many kids in the pool and basically no control over them. If they ever get around to building the rumored family pool, so that there's finally an adult only pool, it'll be the best club on the city by far. Until then, I can't go over 3 stars.
Edit: in response to the owner's response - it's the outdoor pool that has too many kids and there is no schedule. There's only 10-15 min adult swim each hour. The indoor pool has scheduled kids classes, but that's not where people want to hang out; it's lane swimming and not overrun with kids. So to clarify, they need to sort out the situation with the kids in the OUTDOOR pool.
I love Midtown! They have an amazing facility with the best staff, classes and group fitness instructors. I have felt very safe working out there throughout Covid. Couldn’t recommend it enough! The pool is also amazing in the summer!

Will someone tell Bill that he should rerack his weights when he’s done benching instead of leaving 135 on the bar. As well as not throw the equipment on the floor when he’s done using the cables. We get that you walk around with invisible lat syndrome but is it really that hard to clean up after yourself. You’re a grown man not a 5 year old child. Which leads me to my next point, wipe down the machines when you’re done. For god-sake just cause you have a towel doesn’t mean anything. Finally, will either he or someone else tell his mother to stop staring at people when they lift. It’s very rude as well as uncomfortable and awkward with how she looks at people. Thank you
The Morton Grove Park District is neglecting Prairie View Park. There are weeds growing up through the massive cracks in the basketball court. Trash is left on the ground for days at a time. They seem to have no idea what to do with the small area that is supposed to be a miniature prairie ecosystem. Tennis courts are not maintained.

Both of my kids have gone to MPA for years....we love it! They genuinely care for the kids and the instructors are very knowledgeable. The kids all have fun there. They put on awesome recitals twice a year as well as allowing many performance opportunities for the various dance teams.
AMAZING dance studio. My daughter had been dancing at MPA since she was 3. She's now 7 and she had developed so much skills and confidence in that amount of time. Teachers are very competent and so dedicated in what they do. They make sure dancers are learning and at the same time having fun. Owners are very caring and kind. My daughter always looks forward to her dance classes. Mpa had been her second home and we are grateful that they did not only help her grow as a dancer, but as a person. I definitely highly recommend this studio!

We brought our 18-month-old son here and had a pretty good time. I wouldn't say I was creeped out as another reviewer wrote, but it wasn't the cleanest. Some of that you just have to live with at a place like this, but they could definitely have done a better job. Cleaning big Little Tyke climbing toys with a wipe just isn't going to cut it.
In all, we would probably go back, though. Our son had a great time. Just be sure to carefully wash their hands (and yours) afterward!
Lisa does a great job keeping the kids happy and active. My children truly enjoy coming here and I'm glad I found a place I feel comfortable leaving them.
We take our kids here all the time. We love that there is plenty of free parking - anywhere else in Chicago - parking is a nightmare. Plus - it's a nice place to play when it is so freaking hot out.

Played Mt Prospect for the first time today. And I must say that it easily exceeded my expectations. I reserve 5 star ratings for elite level courses. Mt Prospect may not be elite level, but it is a highly enjoyable, beautifully presented and maintained course in the Chicagoland area. Multiple grounds crew members actively taking care of the course made it clear that the course is committed to high quality rounds. It's a bit short, but has great shot values, and makes you think about strategic play. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will be making it a regular course to visit.
Signed up through Golfnow and had to cancel because of COVID issues. Tried to cancel through Golfnow but it was to late so no refund. Received a call from someone at GolfNow and they directed me to reach out to them through the chat line to work it out. After wasting a half hour on a Saturday and asking the same questions over and over and I got nothing.
After a week of communication GolfNow finally credited my account. On a side not Debra from MP Golf Course was very helpful. I will definitely play MP again - just not use GolfNow.

My daughter has been swimming for this club for three years. I also wanted to offer my opinion, as I was shocked at the negative experience listed above. I have 4 children, all athletes for multiple sports. Although I cannot compare this swim club to others, I can compare coaching styles to other sports as we have endured at least 25 over our parenting years.
When we signed up our children for teams, we do not expect them to become awarding winning athletes. We want them to enjoy a physical activity, learn to set goals, persevere to achieve those goals, experience working as a team and handle wins and losses with gratitude and poise. We want them to learn to balance life with family, faith, fun and education.
Coach Ed, Coach Shelia and Coach Carlos are a class act of leadership for my daughter. They handle wins and losses with grace. They beam with pride with jobs well done, console disappointment with grace and handle disruptive behavior firmly. They encourage the children to attend swimming practice and meets as often as possible without jeopardizing their academics and family life. I have appreciated and trusted their roll in our daughter's life as our values and goals have aligned well.
When my daughter started 3 years ago, she did not qualify for any regional events and at the banquet Coach Shelia highlighted her along with everyone else on the team. My daughter beamed with pride. This past season, had she not aged up a few weeks before state competitions, my daughter would have qualified for numerous state events. We did not participate in any other training outside of the team, evidence that the athletic coaching is top quality as well as the character building opportunities.
I would highly recommend North Park Swim Team for families and athletes that want top quality coaching and competitive experiences that value balancing athletics with education and positive sportsmanship.
Northside college prep is a great swim team to is a great environment and I love watching the kids from the stands and on deck The coaches there are nice and respectful to the swimmers I would recommend you bring your kids and swimmers here
Very basic swim club. This is more like a learn to swim type of club. Their best swimmers all leave because it really is not a competitive swim environment or club swimming. It is also mainly a girl club as they have very few boys. The main coach Ed is also kinda in my opinion should not be working with young children his approach is not geared towards the younger swimmer. It is pretty clear he prefers to coach girls swimming. We left after only one season and also witnessing all the teen boys being ignored by Ed so they left. The other coach Carlos is also not very good. The swim club is more a recreational and social swim club for children. They enter all the worst meets and stay away from the competitive real swimming type meets. If you have a swimmer 12 and under then this is a good starter club to get your feet wet if a fast paced competitive club is to much for your child 12 and under. If you want to swim competitively 12 and up look elsewhere. The coaches for the younger swimmers are ok but I think you can do better elsewhere. Cost about $125 per month, other clubs are much more expensive so I guess you get what you pay for. Check out Evanston YMCA Flying Fish, or SWIFT if you are looking or a competitive swim club in this area.

I wish I could return to Northridge.
Students are nightmares; bullying. Northridge is advertised as a very friendly environment, but I felt more appreciated at a free public school in downtown Chicago. This is saying a lot. There is a different type of bullying. Verbal, but also psychological. When I was in a different, higher rated and harder private school, I was getting better grades. It took me a while to find out that this was because of the kids who were saying very mean things on a new level. They were saying I was completely useless in life because I didnt know how to play sports, an because I was really bad at them and because I was overweight. This actually brought me to suicidal thoughts. This shouldn't happen at a "catholic" ???? School. The kids were the reason for my almost failing in 2 classes, because I thought I was useless, and I only wanted to practice and become better at basketball. Even though I am an extremely talented musician, and barely recognized.
Some of the teachers come to work just to receive a paycheck. They aren't rarely available before or after school for help, and they just graduated from college, and have no experience, or 80-year old lunatics.
Northridge was a lot different 10 years ago. Especially since 3 brothers all graduated from Northridge, and the 4th is going to St. Ignatius for high school. This says something.
