I started going to the free parties and social movie nights to meet people and try a few dance styles. After attending a few events and seeing / learning about a few dance styles, I felt that I related to tango the best and attended a few group classes. Within a few lessons I had enough skills to make a short routine then started attending a few latin dance classes to do the same. Some of the patterns seemed complex to start with but a bit of practice is all it takes to improve. The group lessons were friendly and I felt a clear sense of progress. Oscar developed a way of teaching complex patterns very quickly. After getting my head around this new way of learning, I found I was able to pick up a complex pattern in less than a minute, then start working on leading or making it look the part. The hardest thing for me was to learn how to lead so many patterns and styles but I've found that practice with a lot of dance partners and experience is what made the difference. I'd thoroughly recommend new people to come see the dance party and pick a style of dance that works for them. Or start with the salsa class. From looking back, the option learn quickly is always there. Just need to apply yourself :)

Oscar from Elite Synergy is a brilliant instructor who makes learning to dance a lot of fun! His services are affordable, he is reliable, highly skilled and has a great dance studio. We like Oscar's personal approach to dancing the most, he is a very personable person and very patient! We are learning our bridal waltz through Oscar and he has put together a really great routine which we can be confident in dancing to on our wedding night. Other benefits attending Oscar's studio is he is quite flexible, and will tailor a dance package to suit your needs. I would highly recommend Elite Synergy Dance Studio, if you're looking for fun, affordable, structured dance lessons that are going to take you from having two left feet, to having feet that move in all the right directions.

The team at Dance Adelaide have a great attitude and teach easy to learn dance steps that make sense. The team make you feel very welcome and give you heaps of encouragement and many opportunities to go out socially to gain skills and confidence on the dance floor. It's a fun way to make new friends and get fit. Thanks Dance Adelaide for the smiles, I'm having a great time :)

Wanted to go to a pool to escape the 40C heat in the school holidays. Casual entry only $6.60 for adults, and it was fairly quiet inside given the time of year and how hot it was. Had heaps of room in the pool, lap lanes were open and a second smaller pool for all the little kids. Only downside was that the lockers didn't have locks, you were supposed to bring your own padlock :/ But there were quite a few staff around so we just kept our valuables near the pool.

My granddaughter has moved to Hallett Cove and as she can no longer attend dance classes in Stepney I asked if a refund of remaining unused classes which were fully paid for in term fees (almost 2 months) would be available. I was advised that no refund is provided which is most unfair!!!

I have used the gym for a number of years for rehabilitation after cancer treatment. The staff are lovely and friendly and the equipment is well cared for if a little old. The place is clean and friendly, there is ample car parking and help and advice from staff is available in a friendly and non-pushy way. I hope the place remains a secret!

MLFC is attractive because the staff is friendly and always helpful. The members are like one big family. They say hello and chat to each other.....it makes you want to go the gym.

A lovely venue but is looking tired and rundown. Large holes in stadium walls and no air conditioning in courts area so very uncomfortable on a warm day. There is plenty of parking and the toilets are always clean.

Lincoln has thoroughly enjoyed his time at SA Judo Academy. The right balance of discipline, fun, physical activity and social development. He has some friends that have given it a try and now they are hooked too. And its great for parents. Im over sitting outside in the rain during the winter months watching kids play a sport when they really dont want to be there. Anyone keen to explore further is welcome to visit anytime with all questions eagerly answered. Thoroughly recommend.

Feels like home. I'm currently traveling and doing my favourite sport and coming to the South Australia Judo Academy has been amazing. Steve,Amy and Sean who coach there are amazing. They've made me feel less home sick with their hospitality and coaching. No matter how long you've been doing it they help you so much. Each lesson I take away something new and leave with not just my physical health being better. My mental health too. All the people there make me feel so welcome and each lesson is educational and fun. Which is what it should be. They put enjoyment and coaching above money which, to me makes it an excellent judo club. The kids classes seem to be so much fun. I arrive just when it finishes and all the kids don't want to leave. I hate writing these things but when I find a place who deserves it. I will write a review. Thank you so much to SAJA. You're all awesome.

Grant Swift gives great lessons and routines, and his sons Harry and Oscar are both as talented as they are friendly and welcoming. Harry also teaches intermediate classes, which are a lot of fun and he has some nice grooves. Classroom is a bit small but the floor is good for sliding. The studio is also close to a pay by donation lentil soup shop, which is the best after a good workout in the winter.

Grant is an amazing teacher. Highly recommend his school for very authentic New Orleans inspired tap dancing (not that ballet stuff). You'll be hard pressed to find better tap!

I've been attending twice a week and I am very pleased with the experience. Instruction is gradual but thorough – appropriate for all ages and experience levels. Having never previously been athletically inclined, I now go out of my way to make it to as many training sessions at Norwood as possible. Every class is enjoyable and raises a sweat. This is the first form of regular exercise or sport that I have ever stuck with for more than a couple of months. Pete.

With limited experience in BJJ I have experienced top level instruction from all of the coaching staff. The positive environment of this club is second to none. Pat Lim the striking coach is a fantastic trainer and a top bloke as well as the rest of the coaching staff. Leo takes the time to remember each individuals name, which may not seem like a big deal, however it shows his commitment to know his students and also his character. Fantastic club hands down.

Have been going to Saltwater Yoga Studio for 2 years now casually. From my first ever yoga class where I was highly anxious to now feeling highly accepted. Went by myself on a beginner night (Tuesday and Thursdays,) never been to Jiu jitsu before so was a little nervous. Class was very well run, both instructors and class members were extremely friendly and helpful. A good place for people of all skill levels. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent experience! Came to Adelaide on a business trip and Professor Toyama allowed me to come in and roll. Gym is great. Everyone I met was pleasant and skillful.

Thank You SABJJ for having me today at your Open mat session. Everybody there was so nice and welcoming I wish I lived in Adelaide so I can come train all the time. I didn't have a Gi as I am only travelling in Adelaide, but the guys at SABJJ so kindly lent me a GI. (Sorry I left a sweaty GI for you guys when I left). Rolling with the guys here I can tell everybody is very high level and I have a long way to go to get anywhere near as good as you guys. Anyway, Thank you very much for allowing me to roll with you guys, I thoroughly enjoyed it and wish I could've stayed longer but as I was with family I can only steal a bit of time away.. but next time I am back in Adelaide, i am definitely coming back. Thank you for everything..
