A fantastic hideaway for a large group nestled in a valley along the McAlister River. A fantastic festival of 2000ppl is held there in May called 'The Town'. Such a lovely experience in a setting of beauty, comfort and amenity. Cabins, trampolines, rock climbing, canoeing, zip line, etc. Owned and run by Lions groups.

This caravan park was great - staff really friendly and helpful. Ablutions were immaculate and new. A bit out of town but very quiet at night. Highly recommended

An absolute "gem" in outback NSW .Beautifully laid out with pebbles so level and clean underfoot Spotless amenities staff very obliging and at 4.30pm every afternoon you are entertained by the fabulous and funny Mel and Suzie. Laughter is so good for the soul and they certainly deliver. This park is one not to miss.

Huge spotless gravel park with large sites. Spotless amenities and friendly staff. Entertainment daily in the pavilion. Beautifully laid out trees and scrap iron animal/bird art. Birdsong greets you everywhere. Opal noodling area at rear of park for a bit of fun. Bore hot pool just across the road. Beaut place to stay.

Great for people interested in plants, but also really good for bird watchers. Fern gully is a great spot for kids. Huge range of plants from around Australia. Keep an eye out for echidnas, kangaroos and emus.

Awesome experience, Brett was a great guy who answered all our questions and took the extra time to chat and let us take a photo through our Nikon DSLR. Would definitely recommend the experience to anyone in the area

Thanks Olga and John for a great weekend. Forest Lodge Farm is a great place for school camps with a flying fox and many more indoor and outdoor activities to keep the primary school children entertained. However, it’s also a wonderful place for large groups and families to come and enjoy time together in a very peaceful and relaxing country environment. Rooms have 6 bunks in them with a shared internal toilet block. The catering was fantastic. ????

Forrest Lodge Farm have new owners and they are amazing! In the short 6 months that John & Olga have owned the property they have made many noticeable changes to the property. Myself & a group of friend have been going to the Farm for a few years now and were so pleased to notice the difference, particular the cleanliness of the place, both inside & out. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and eagerly helping us when it was needed. Looking forward to seeing you again later this year. Keep up the great work.

Have been coming to Forest Lodge Farm for 5 years now and we were so thrilled to meet the new owners. Their standards are high and are very keen to improve the property to make each stay enjoyable. We noticed a big positive improvement from previous years especially in cleanliness. We are a small group of 19 but love visiting the camp just to relax and unwind from our hectic lives. Thank you Olga & John for making us welcome

We love county buddies. Couldn't fault anything. The staff are beautiful, caring and really helpful. They make drop offs easy. I can walk out knowing that my children feel loved and safe while they are there.

Country Buddies has been so great for my little one. He has learnt and developed so much, with a big thanks to Country Buddies. The staff are so lovely, super friendly and very helpful! I couldn't recommend this centre more highly!!

Dave is a wealth of information and funny too. Not you ordinary look here, look there tour, awesome. Kerry served scones, tea, coffee and cold water. Also Kerry explained all the different types of opal.

Just quietly, this place, Beds on the Barwon would be one of the best places that I have ever stayed at. What a setting perched just above the mighty Barwon River, the view that greets you as you look out from your verandah of your most luxurious Cabin. The service is just awesome and I can assure you will leave Beds on the Barwon with the same feeling as we have just experienced.

Impressed on how the small town of Gulargambone has picked itself up and got on with life. Two eight two eight has been set up in a community refurbished hall to provide a venue for an art gallery and coffee shop. Pleasant surroundings either indoor or outdoors. Certainly worth a stop on your trip north towards Coobamble, Walgett and Lightning Ridge.

Stayed here on a number of occasions, previously good. Lots of things now in need of maintenance. No washing machines working. A couple of the power sources for vans not working. Nowhere to hang paper hand towels in mens. On top of this Bowling Club meals have gone downhill although a very good alternative is the Globe Hotel, great meals.

Have stayed many times used to be run by apex $13 a night. Now has another lesee who is never there. Filthy camp kitchen if you could call it. Very few operational powered sites. Called for instructions how to use the washing machines the so called manager not taking calls. I understand the lease is up for renewal lets hope a better person takes it on. This site is now becoming a slight on the beautiful town.
