Cairns Art Gallery - absolutely beautiful local and regional works of art right now! Free entry. Air Conditioned. Free baggage check. Easy to see all in well under an hour. Very professional and tasteful gallery. Definitely a very positive and worthwhile experience. Highly recommend visiting. Jan 2020.

The have some great exhibits and they are always changing so it's worth keeping an eye on the calender to see what's on. They also run workshops and have activities for kids. Entry to the exhibits is free but you can and should make a donation when visiting. The shop has some lovely gifts that are reasonably priced and there is a cafe on site. Well worth a visit if you are in town and like art

Well I'm not sure what to say about this place! There wasn't much to see, not much effort is made to engage with visitors. There is no guided tour so you just wander round yourself. I went to the Waterford Crystal Glass Factory years ago in Ireland and it was so far ahead that I couldn't help but be disappointed but I'm probably being a bit unfair as it's like comparing apples with pears! I feel tho if you're going to invite visitors make a little effort to engage with them possibly by having a short guided tour, a small charge would be acceptable if it's necessary.

There is amazing glass to see. You can see how it is made and what courage and skill you need to have to be able to make vases and glasses. There is a burger restaurant there as well ????.

I met the Baluk Arts team when they were showcasing their work in Sydney. I really liked one of the works they had on display, but by the time I came back to purchase it, someone else had beaten me to it! The work's creator, Lenny, was onsite and said she could work with me to create another one to my liking! She did. And it's brilliant!

What a hidden gem! We had a lovely tour guide who insisted we visit the Drill Hall Studio, and I'm so glad she did. I thought it would be an art studio (and it is) , but it is so much more! The Studio is also a gallery, with a large array of local.artists represented - painters, sculptors, craftsmen and more. A wide range of price points, something for every wallet. They also run art classes here as well. It will be on my list when I return to Townsville ????.

Marcus Bell is an incredible artist with a camera. He has the ability to capture emotion - those special moments which 'move' people and leave a lasting impression in their mind. How blessed we were to have Marcus as our wedding photographer. He was 'everywhere' on the day and afterwards was able to bring together the most magical display of images - a storybook for the future. Just incredible. We are still on Cloud Nine. Thank you Marcus!! Highly recommended.

Adam, Marcus and his team were so wonderful and were everything that we wanted and more for a wedding photographer. We are so incredibly happy with the photos and all our guests, friends, parents and family were impressed with them. In fact the photos were so good, that it did cross both my husband and my mind that we should quit our jobs and start a career in modelling....until we remembered that we're both camera shy. 10/10 would recommend :) Thanks guys

Old and weathered but full of character, Metro Arts is a great place to see a show. The seats in the theatre by the main lobby are comfy and the acoustics a good. Funky place!
