We had a swim meet there... the hosting Tiger Sharks decided to let all the local parents and families take over the whole facility and placed our kids for the competition outside the complex in a small tent in the wet and muddy grass. We were shocked to see such an unhospitable and unsportsman like attitude from what is supposed to be a hosting team for a kids competition. The only community to be this way out of the whole South Louisiana region.

Nice park. Has things for the kids. You can picnic or fish or walk the trail. The only bad thing is the way the main trail is set up. It's very long and challenging. But it goes from the park to paradise drive. Which is a long way!! There's no distance markers on the trail. So if you do the whole thing. You must turn around and walk back along the same trail. This results in about a ten mile hike!! There are no sub trails to adjust your hike length!! And no loop to take you back where you started. So if you have a friend that can meet you at paradise drive lot. You'll do about 5 miles. So be prepared!! The scenery is wonderful!!

I absolutely love this park, it's so beautiful during the summer and fall seasons! It is definitely one of my favorites. The trails are amazing and there's a lot of outdoor activities to do here with the kids.

Great shop, great inventory and awesome guy. Came in looking for a classic Braves fitted, he had every size and multiple variations. I have always wanted a Deion Sanders Falcons throwback jersey which he just so happened to have - gave me a great deal for both - couldn’t be happier!

So many fun things! We got a membership for Christmas last year and I didn't think it would be that great but it's awesome! The curiosity museum alone is worth it. But there's the dino museum, the butterfly biosphere, the farm, and the gardens. Not to mention you get discounted or free entry on events! So so cool.

I've been a big fan of Thanksgiving Point for years. The tulip festival is gorgeous in the spring! The car show was my favorite to go to out of the other car shows in the area. The Museum of Ansient Life is fun for both kids and adults. I used to go there way before I had kids and I was excited to bring my boys there for the 1st time a couple of weeks ago. Also the Museum of Natural Curiosity is fun. The deli has delicious food and even tastier ice cream. We enjoyed our trip and will be coming back.

The staff is not only rude and disrespectful but yelled at me for a mistake I didn’t know I was doing wrong then the manger a (fat man) got in my face and yelled at me right after we paid there rec center money this is not one of the worst rec centers it is thee worst

I have been coming to the Prairie Athletic Club since 1998 and I must say it's always been a big part of my childhood. I have seen a lot of change over the years all of them amazing! :) I highly recommend at least trying this place as a guest, chances are you know somebody with a membership here. The staff has always treated me kindly and if I have an issue I know I can trust them to resolve it. Lots of activities and leagues to join too. It's more then just a gym it's a central part of the community spanning 40 years and constantly improving :)

Just now found out you can review the SoL! We’ve been going through the symphony of lights for many years and thought the 2019 layout was particularly spectacular! We loved driving through the pavilion and the serpentine path that allowed you to appreciate the lights both up close and from a distance. It was very well done! My parents took me here as a kid and now I bring my kids... driving through is a family holiday tradition. Sure there are better lights in the DC area, but where else can you tour a historic concert venue that turns into a christmas light land in a major downtown area? And it supports the hospital. We always start the season with a drive through these pretty lights.

This year's lights were better than ever! You actually drive through the seating area of the pavilion which I though was pretty cool and there was giant tree on stage!! My kids loved it

I have never actually been *inside* this building, yet I can say that it has a beautiful landscape that is very Green. So much so, that one can feel a sense of tranquility when you walk through this area. The Takoma Park Recreation Department is relatively close to Piney Branch Elementary, and it's possible to find this location while riding the Ride On 17, 18 or the F4 Metro. As long as the bus route is heading towards Maple Avenue, this facility can be found.

I love taking my kids to play at the park! They like to ride their scooters down the walking trail. The playground near the rev center is very shaded with trees and makes it nice for moms and dads to watch without being scorched by the sun. The walking trail is long and goes along the Bosque River and we actually saw a fawn and babies yesterday when we were there at about 7:30pm. The kids loved it!

Both of my sons went there for a couple years and I thought the pricing was definitely a bit low, but I was not complaining. However the saying "You Get What You Pay For" was definitely in the back of my mind. This year I went to enroll them and almost fell out of my chair as their prices had SUBSTANTIALLY increased - although I bet it is barely enough to cover overhead and make a profit. I did not meet most of the young adults working the program; but there were a couple that stood out as INCREDIBLE and were able to get my oldest "exceptional" child to participate. They are students (I believe?) and there for the opportunity to work with kids, (the "environment" is provided for them) and therefore I do not think they need any type of extravagant salary and I certainly am NOT dismissing the difficulty level of their jobs (IF performing at 200% on a daily, regular basis). Obviously as parents our main concern is the safety of our children - and that place is PACKED!!! It can be a bit overwhelming even for a "typical child" but I believe most of the young adults do a decent job, and I appreciate them for giving their best for my/everyone's kids. Compare their prices to ESU's Warrior Sports Day Camp (this is the best one yet: ESU's "For 'Special' Kids" - it is based upon the hours they attend. I am certain I believe I received the information correctly and the "special kids" get charged by the hour and from 8-4 would be (7) courses costing parents $915 for a full day - INSANITY and ridiculous considering that all parents are struggling but having an exceptional child where incomes become limited, I do not know who can really afford this and think our politicians should put changes into effect immediately to help!! In the end, what can a working parent do? Kids typically want to go to camp and parents have to fork it out. With that being said, I certainly HOPE that my kids are having a great, safe time and the camp is incorporating some learning activities into the kid's days to keep their minds active prior to their return to school. They like the camp but Mom wishes it was more affordable and I HOPE THAT THE LIFEGUARDS ARE BEING COMPLETELY ATTENTIVE TO WATCHING EACH AND EVERY SINGLE CHILD - AS STATED ABOVE, IT IS INSANELY CROWDED & HECTIC THERE. THANK YOU TO THE STAFF!
