Totally not worth it, 20$ person a night (60$ total for us), camping site's floor is to hard to place a tent properly, no tables nearby, the cafe/restaurant's prices are ridiculous 7$ for 1.5L water bottle, 10$ for 5kg of ice and the mains round the 30$. There's no rubbish bins anywhere around and the toilets are better cleaned in the free camping than in the Eco Retreat, last but not least there's what I believe to be a generator working all night.. The only positive side is the close distance to the gorges, certainly not positive enough to make us go back

A quiet little park with an indoor pool. A great base for us to come from the spirit of Tasmania then do a day trip to Stanley. It is also close to the penguin viewing tours. The cafe out the front is a nice addition.

We were lucky to win a voucher for this place and we really liked it. The pool and spa are great assets. We stayed in a villa and everything was clean and comfortable. It would probably be a great place to bring kids as well as there is a really nice playground.

Great location, good ameneties, lots to do for the kids, including a playground, games room and an indoor pool. One of the best places we stayed at during our trip. The cafe next door is superb.

We enjoyed our stay on their grounds with our camper van. We had a fun experience at breakfast rolling our own oats and having a good conversation with John. Would recommend a stay to anyone who's heading this way and wants a nice spot to stay for the night. Very reasonably priced compared to other sites we have stayed at. Complete peace and quiet at night too. Thanks for your hospitality!

A truely wonderful visit. Our beautiful hostess showed us around her farm, explaining all to us and the kiddies as we went and lots of littlw tatstes too. Definitely worth a visit

Clean bathrooms, Toilets and showers. For camping the power site are small but reasonable good. There is no camp kitchen instead there are 2 BBQ in a small banda with two picnic tables. There is a small sink just between two BBQ which cannot be used when the BBQ is in use, there is no hot water in this sink. For guys who camp in tents, you have to be fully equipped. As there is no microwave, toaster, hot water kettle, or a decent sink with hot water for washing utensils. Happy camping.

Had a cabin facing Lake St Clair. Tiny cabin but had all the necessary things, a fridge, stoves, oven, microwave etc... plus a jacuzzi in the bath. Cabins are built in between the trees, bringing nature to your doorstep ... and it is relatively easy to walk to the lake as well. I just can’t get enough of the beautiful lake, sitting out by the balcony just admiring the beautiful lake on a cool summer afternoon with a cup of hot coffee in your hands. It is just pure bliss...

Found it to be quite and peaceful, but they did not seem too busy - as some reviews have indicated it gets. Thus enjoyed the view from our deck of the water without many folks around. The unit was clear and comfortable. Took the water taxi cross the lake and hiked back, was worthwhile though trail can be uneven and with many tree roots in places (it was also raining lightly). Staff was friendly and helpful. Food OK, nothing noteworthy. [Feb 2019]

I haven't personally stayed at this location but would like to commend the customer service of this establishment, in particular of the Rooms Division Manager G.R. I have a family member staying at the Country Club and wanted to organise a birthday surprise. With very little notice, and with great consideration and thoughtfulness Country Club Tasmania assisted with this. I also received some very friendly service from the out of hours number I called. My family have let me know that their stay has been very comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you again!

Excellent place to stay. I found our bed a bit hard for my liking, but personal preference I guess. Lovely grounds to stroll around. Plenty of facilities and helpful staff. Nice choice of restaurants to suit all tastes.

Comfy beds and good size rooms. Beautiful spot for a two night stay. Bistro is the place to visit for dinner as we found breakfast prices a but expensive when just wanting a slice of toast.

Very welcoming and helpful staff! There're plants/flowers around each site which made us feel like home. The amenities are clean and well maintained. And there's a mini golf course which we had fun in. We also loved the little animals residing in the park. An amazing holiday park overall!

Convenient location - Close to Hobart and a useful place to stay the night before taking your rented campervan back. Extremely clean facilities - there is also a laundry - cold wash only. There are native chickens and bandicoots on site - amusing to watch. Check in very smooth - pleasant staff. If you are planning to arrive on either a Sunday or Monday, be aware that the restaurant and pizzeria are both closed on those evenings - it seems to be quite difficult to get anything to eat on Sunday evenings generally.

I have never felt so unwelcome finding out about booking. Lady was rude, and an excuse for everything. Advertise as pet friendly but told small dogs only. She carried on about chooks, barking dogs, and leaving dogs.... we have been travelling 12months with our dog and never felt so unwelcome.

Hidden gem. Must stay here when in the area. Across from St George which is worth only a half day visit. Great clean amenities. Secluded caravan sites with lots of room. Recommend highly. Head down to the Riviera for a meal near by.

Nice place but let down by its poor necessities. Bed was horrible - hard, squeaky and wobbly. Bathroom lacked space to put toiletries on. Roof leaked water and dripped all night. Had to put flannel on ground to stop noise. Toilet dripped on and off through the night. Has potential but nowhere near it yet.

My wife and I had the most enjoyable experience here. The food was beyond fantastic and wholesome. We were the only couple booked in that night and they opened regardless. The most memorable experience we have had in Tasmania.

Clean and spacious with equipped kitchen. After hours check in instructions were clear enough, though I almost missed the note about dishes cleaning and rubbish removal. Excellent location to stay a night before early flight the next day, because it is just 2-minute drive to Hobart Airport.

Nicely located for our Hobart adventures, neat and clean cabin in a well maintained park. Friendly greeting on arrival! The two bed cabin was not huge but adequate for four adults in two rooms. Surprisingly we could not here the planes at the airport, thatch good!

You get what you pay for. Its very basic. It's clean. It provides a good base for Freycinet National Park. It has an excellent location. It's close to a couple of restaurants and grocery stores. It's an easy stroll to a beach where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset. There is parking right next to your lodge. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The bathrooms have no amenities except for clean towels. If you're expecting five star service - this isn't the place for you. This place worked for us as we just needed a clean bed to sleep on and a place to dump our bags so that we could go out and enjoy the national parks.

Nice view of the ocean, the toilet block down the bottom which I used was nice. Only 2 showers there though. Kitchen is not closed off and is minimal however it looked like they were building an extension and it was good enough. Spacious lots for your campervan

I think this is the nearest accommodation you can get to Mt Field National Park. We stayed for one night at Cottage 4. To be honest we regretted not spending more time at Mt Field National Park/Russell Falls. The cottage itself was very clean but the sofas were quite old. Still clean though. The kitchen was fully furnished. Cottage 4 also had a laundry machine and dryer. Cottage 4 came with a bunk bed and a queen bed in a bedroom. All 3 beds had heated blankets. There was no WiFi though. Phone signal was also quite weak during the time we spent there. No problem though as the backyard and surroundings were stunning. Check in was was easy as the owners stayed on the property. Seryn was very helpful and answered our questions with good advice. Will stay here again if we were to come back to Mt Field National Park.

Friendly and helpful hosts, absolutely stellar location next to the river. Great to stay with kids. We saw a platypus in the river, and went on several bush walks easily accessible from the accommodation. We saw some incredible waterfalls and even played in the snow. Cabin well-stocked with everything we might need (although quality of kitchen utensils/appliances quite cheap, and my wife found the mattress and pillow too hard for her comfort).

Clean & neat great location. Fantastic that they let dogs inside! Basic kitchen supplies. Comfortable bed with electric blanket. Inverter heating works well. No WiFi.

Fantastic destination after all those windy roads! Hotel and cabins in the grounds. Also shop. Accommodation was superb, clean and comfortable. In lodge there were two restaurants, a bistro and a more formal restaurant. When I went, there were beautiful log fires in every main area. Very comfortable. Food was amazing. There is a spa. Beautiful scenery and river close by. 3 resident platypus, many wombats and other fauna. Walkways to the Pencil Pine (?) waterfall and wildlife . I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Very happy with our stay. Drive was arduous but nice to arrive and looked at Lodge and thought, lovely. Worried at outside of cabin but inside very comfortable. Fantastic Christmas lunch special. Could not recommend it highly enough. Good staff. Very nice indeed.

They bought out my meal, the first time it had bacon, the second time they bought out the same meal, third time lucky . Ordered a pint of orange juice no ice, came filled with ice. Our room was nice however, it was above a reception room where their was a wedding reception. The racket from there went on till 12am. Needless to say we had very little sleep. We did not get an apology nor a by your leave from reception when we checked out . Pretty poor. Best thing was leaving. Pretty setting but let down by disregard for other guests

Our room was just lovely. The food was excellent as was the Service we had a Young Lady serving with us and was her first night and she did a wonderful job a credit to her. My Crumbed Schnitzel was to die for and my Hubby's Cape Grim Scotch Fillet was also brilliant hats of to the Chef couldn't recommend the food enough was just Brilliant. We always stay here and will continue to. Thanks.

Really glad I read all the reviews before booking for a trail ride here. Called several times over 2 weeks and never even got a response or call back. How are the supposed to get business if they don't even pick up the phone. Talked to other people in the local horse community. Turns out the owner has a reputation for being melodramatic, unprofessional and rude. Very glad we didn't book here.

At the end of March this year my daughter and I had the pleasure to stay a couple of days at Horse Haven. It was a delightful experience. Conny was welcoming, kind and very engaging. We ordered the breakfast for the two mornings; the food and presentation were amazing. I have never tasted such delicious goats milk. We enjoyed walking around the area and met numerous people who were all very friendly. The cottage we stayed in was very comfortable and roomy. We went outside to see the stars at night - absolutely spectacular! I especially appreciated Conny's authenticity - she genuinely cares about people, animals, and making a positive contribution to this planet. I would highly recommend a visit to this farm.

They do not provide farm stay anymore but the owner (Conny) introduced us to her sister (Vera) who had her cottage available for stay over. The sister's cottage is just opposite the horse Haven and it was pretty, clean and lovely. As for the the horse riding..it was great, the horses are gentle. It can get tiring after awhile.. Men wear tighter undies (if you know what I mean????)

An amazing experience. Was a little scared, the guys were reassuring and professional. That and we couldn't move back haha. Really enjoyed all the waterfalls and just floating on my back looking up the canyon.
