We stayed in a "family room" and our room was fantastic for the price! Slept comfortably. Great facilities. Very short distance to walk to everything. We even got a little bottle of milk on arrival for our tea and coffee. Super cool, basic and just what we needed for our short holiday!

Excellent coffee and friendly staff, this stop just off the Pacific Hwy easy access to for a rest while driving has signs and statues around it which tells the story of the early settlers in 1888 which had come over via boat. The conditions were so very bad where so many would die and so many would become very I'll.
At the cafè they sell sandwiches and some snacks, marmalade and chutney. It also has a gift and souvenir shop. Loved this place.

A nice cafe off the Pacific Highway soon to be the Pacific Motorway when finished means our Government can sell it off as a toll road so we taxpayers are then charged to used our roads paid by our taxes.
However it has meant the New Italy museum and cafe have a new sealed carpark that is a big improvement over the old dirt park.
The complex traces the history of Italian settlement in the area.
Displays include artifact's as well as extensive photo's.
The cafe has a wide range of light meals as well as light options. They need to have better quality control as I ordered a toasted chicken and mayo sandwich but instead received a toasted chicken and lettuce. Now anyone should wonder about toasted lettuce? Really dried up lettuce!
Service is reasonably quick and to your table.
The toilets are in a separate building that asks for donations for them?

Good food. Great surroundings. Beautiful buildings. Lovely little museum. Good history of the area.
Wheelchair and mobility accessible, though the car park is a fair distance from the buildings.
My biggest disappointments were:
1) the complete absence of air conditioning on the whole site and
2) the "accessible" toilets - while big enough for a wheelchair - adding a plastic, screw on toilet seat raiser does not make it easy, safe or accessible to transfer between wheelchair and toilet.
