Clean and tidy pool. Great place for the whole family. Great views of the river. Clean tidy showers and toilets. I really enjoy swimming there.

Love this place. Despite ongoing renovations till July 2020 which means the closure of the gift shop and waterpark, this place retains good CHARMING service, lovely grounds and great food. Recently visited on Christmas Eve. We thought it would be packed but was actually pretty quiet that morning - mental notes to try THAT again. Despite the air-conditioned interior we would recommend an outdoor table every time if at all possible. (Tip: the pumpkin spice icecream is amazing!)

Amazing surf instructors! Had a great couple of lessons here learning how to improve my skills. The instructors were patient, friendly and really helpful. They answered all my questions as well as continually giving me advice in the water on how to improve. It was a great experience and I’ve learnt a lot. I feel more confident and knowledgeable just after a couple of lessons! Highly recommend this company for surf lessons of all ages and all skills - from beginners to advanced-.

Professional, fun & focused on individual needs A couple of days ago a friend & myself had a private lesson with Fabio from the let's go surfing team. We got exactly what we needed: a bit of theory regarding turns and then a lot of practice in the water. During our time in the water and in between waves we got further instructions and tips how to improve our skills. I had a wonderful time and after the lesson I felt a lot more comfortable to go surfing on my own again. Thanks a lot Fabio! It was great having you as our surf coach. I definitely recommend this surf school for beginners as well as more advanced surf students :)

This is a nice ticked away park close to ballina road. Park has an open area both grass and basketball court plus kids gym equipment and walking paths around the edge to get to everything. Toilets are open with wheelchair cubicle as well. I flew my drone there today and people were cool about it as I stayed well clear. The kids actually loved watching it racing around in the sky and I made sure NOT to take any footage on video or photos so as not to upset anyone. Absolutely worth a trip for the kids to run free. Also heaps of shade from lots of big trees for those hot days.

Gus recently took our thirteen year old daughter for a 2 hour lesson. He is the most authentic open engaging person you could ever hope to meet - a born teacher. He was in the water with our daughter the whole time helping her to paddle onto each wave, providing specific feedback about how she was going and showing her how to improve. Her confidence and ability just soared. I heartily recommend Gus to anyone wanting to learn to surf. He is an asset to the Bay.

Best investment you will ever make if you want to learn how to surf. Can’t recommend Rusty and the team highly enough. Gus will get you standing up within a couple of waves and help you progress your skills well past a standard lesson.

My girlfriend and I engaged Rusty's team for a 2 person lesson at The Pass in Byron and we were assigned to/with Gus. Wow. He was fantastic. Such a great listener and observer, which made him a great teacher. He assessed us individually and gave us each personal instruction that helped us push us and help us move ahead. Great couple of hours with Gus.

ISM has a wonderful program. My daughter has been going since she was 2 and has seamlessly developed a musical ability that her whole family talks about with pride. Miss Vee and Mr Justin are truly wonderful teachers - with so much passion and patience for the little ones. She'll be 6 next year and Im looking forward to watching her progression - she always surprises me! Im also pleased with myself - that I started her so young - she has the 'ear' that I always wished I had. A big huge thank you to Miss Vee and Mr Justin - you're a very important part of our world xx

Hey guys:D Best surf experience ever! I did a 1 month surfcamp with the guys from byron bay surf school. The team made it easy and fun for me to learn the basics quickly!:D They also teached me to never give up! „There will be good and bad days. Keep on going“! :) Thanks for the tips and tricks from Jamie and his amazing instructor crew! I really much enjoyed my stay and surf sessions with you all! Always open for questions and answering them so well and detailed that i was able to understand very quickly. Even got some theorie lessons and detailed sketches about water conditions and rules. Thank you Jonathan:D! I was able to get used to the conditions better and better. You not only learn how to stand on the board but also how to read the ocean what the difficulties are and how to behave in the water. All instructors are with full passion. The relaxed and fun mood made it pleasant for me to get in the water every single day. One day Jamie took us for a SUP lesson to a beautiful place near Byron to give the daily surf lessons a little change:D it was amazing!!!sooo folks you wanna book some surf lessons in exciting byron? Go and check out Byron Bay surf school! Would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn from authentic surfers. Guys you‘re doing an amazing job! Had a great lesson yesterday with Cameron and Tom. They were really enthusiastic, friendly and put a lot of effort into helping us stand up for the first time on the board. Would definitely recommend!

Had a crazy experience today, got caught by 5-6 waves in a row and got taken out. Luckily Tom was close by and came out of his way to help me and my friend out of the tricky situation. Honestly can't thank him enough for his help, especially since we weren't even taking part in the lessons.????????

Stayed in 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was very spacious but very basic. Very daggy pictures, no where to put keys. We were put upstairs with 3 kids under 3, terrible with prams up and down. The floors under the couch and the rug weren’t clean. The pool was good but didn’t provide enough shade.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good off street parking, our room had 2 spaces. Kitchen completely setup for a long stay. Incredibly clean throughout. Very comfortable bed and couch. Beautiful spa on balcony. Big bathrooms. Nice view of the pool and ocean. Walking distance to beach and local shops. Would definitely stay again. Thank you ????????????

Uncover clean pool.. Not smelly. Staff on duty. Clean toilets and showers. Family friendly. Mural on the wall looks great. I like swimming there sun is just too hot some days.

Great pool for younger kids aswell as the big kids. All indoors. Nice little cafe with coffee and food. They have a great little toddler pool which was a huge hit... with a slide and fountains.

Well worth the trip here. I live on the Gold Coast and I'm more than happy with traveling all this way. I bought a guitar from here and Nick was awesome to deal with. When it arrived Nick inspected it then rang me to say that he had to send it back because he wasn't happy with the finish of the paint on it and another one was on it's way. His attention to detail and supplying nothing but the best for his customers is of a very high standard. I highly recommend Byron Music. Many thanks Nick .

The cafe was simple but fine (pancakes were GREAT). Mini-golf was fun. The place is in need of some TLC but do support it for the on-going benefit of the animals. Four hours well spent.

Our wedding was full of so much happiness and love and we couldn’t have imagined having it anywhere else! The amazing team looked after us and everyone that attended with so much detail that it seemed that they enjoyed the night as much as we all did - From animal encounters, train rides, setting up the space, the unique and yummy menu options and anything we needed was never too much trouble. It was full of so fun much and we received only wonderful feedback from our guest about everything. The animals were added surprise entertainment for all our guests - both youth and old. It was really just the best day ever! :)

The Macadamia Castle has some really cute animals and a great relaxed pet farm environment. The inside is a little dated and I wasn’t a huge fan of the old school cafeteria style restaurant. Perhaps would be better as a modern Byron style restaurant and a gift shop.

What an amazing production of Witches Abroad of SirTerry Pratchett's Discworld adapted for stage by Henri Renoir who also directed the prouction. There was a cast of 17 in the almost three and a half hour show with some excellent performances. Congratultions to Lismore Theatre Company.

I really can't recommend this place enough. The teachers (Ben and Johan) are absolutely brilliant. My 3 young kids went here, one of whom was very nervous about swimming and they were so good at taking it slowly,. building trust and rapport with the kids and ultimately teaching them a huge amount in a short space of time. They learnt more in a week here than in literally months of attending a swim school elsewhere. 11/10!

Ben is an absolute legend with the kids and our little boy loves going here every week for his swim lessons. The view from the pool over the Byron hinterlands is not to shabby either ! I would highly recommend using this swim school.
