I have been in touch with them due to lack of basic resources. No money, denied for disability and their advice was unhelpful. They had no one with knowledge of SSDI and after a few unworkable suggestions said they couldn’t help me. So no matter what fundraising they do, there was no real assistance for a city resident with ms who has nothing. Try disabilityLink, they’ve been incredibly helpful.

There is no better way to preserve the architecture from the past and the related human stories than to join the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. They publish a great magazine, have excellent "Rambles" to explore historic cities in Georgia and work to promote and save endangered buildings. Really worth joining!

Absolutely loved going to Howard. I moved to Howard in the middle of my junior year and was immediately welcome into the school. I struggled with grades prior to Howard due to my learning disabilities. But the second I came to Howard my grades went from C's to A's and they helped me score high ACT scores. I made more friends within a week of being there than I have ever made. They all accepted me for who I am because they see past my disabilities and see the real me. Before I came to Howard I didn't even think I would get into college but thanks to the help and support of Howard I got into 5 out of 5 colleges! The teacher there are incredible! They treat us with respect and are some of our greatest friends. They are so helpful and inspirational and relatable. My nickname the basketball coaches gave me was "mad dog"! Having good relationships with teachers is essential to succeeding because they appreciate it when they know you are trying your best and it makes it easier to ask for help with them. Though the school is very small, it cause everyone there to know everyone as a friend, even the teachers. I still keep in close contact with my best friends from Howard even after I graduated. And I love to visit Howard and talk about my progress. My family has loved how Howard has helped me so much that this year my brother is attending Howard too. I am so thankful to have gone to Howard. It was life changing for me there. I went from barely passing school, having basically no friends, and having depression to have all A's and B's, having more special friendships than I ever imagined I would have, and being the happiest I have ever been since I could remember. I definitely recommend Howard . It's a life changing experience and changes kids who think they have no hope,like I did, to being so proud of their work and seeing big futures in front of them.

John A white is a nice course that should be on every golfer's list to play....9 holes with nice greens any plush fairways.....can be challenging..so don't sleep on this course...take the challenge and see how you score..

Did not suit my fancy... we were taking a seat on the sideline with very uncomfortable chairs, we asked for cushions but nobody responded. Then 5 mins later a coach rudely asking us to get up leaving us no where to sit our selfs. My people and I were not impressed of the integrity of the school.

At-risk or not at-risk, all youth need a safe haven where they can learn and grow.

Street Smart has been working with the youth of English Ave and Vine City for years and I have personally seen them change the trajectory of a bunch of kids lives. The main thing I love and respect about Street Smart is that it opens the eyes and minds of the kids to experiences beyond the environment they live in. I believe this is one of the major factors of their success.

I met Street Smart Youth Project (SSYP) in 2003, their presence in the English Avenue Neighborhood has been a positive one, and I’ve seen young people lives’ change tremendously because of street smart's youth project. I myself have watch young people with low self-esteem change two individual's with confidence. I been there when they were having fun without any substance, also I volunteered and went on a trip out of community with them and seen their eyes light up with amaze mint. I've been in there office of Street Smart where I seen the youth being help with home work, and seen them in the end walk down the aisle in hat and gown. Because of your program I've seen dreams come true for so many youth, Kudos two you (SSYP) for making Dream's of so many come true.

I became a part of the Sober Living America family back in March 2020. When I walked into the office, I was welcomed beyond belief. I received the warmest welcomed and immediately new i had found my new home and family. Sober Living America is an amazing program and it is what you make it. It can be tough if you make it tough. But if you work your steps and follow the guidelines, I will be a great journey. I'm proud to call SLA my family.

I'm glad I was able to come here to Atlanta 1, I had couldn't get my SSC due to covid -19 and the staff pooled together to help me order my Birth Certificate so that I could gain employment. The Director Ken, has helped me tremendously along the way. He has shared with me his story and I can tell he is passionate about his and our recovery.

We had my daughter's 5th birthday party here and it was fantastic. My daughter claimed, during the party, that it was the best day of her life! I literally showed up with a cake, and you don't even have to do that. I only did because my daughter wanted a specific cake with a crown on it. Everything was perfect and well executed. We held my daughter’s fourth birthday party at Young Chefs and it was a wonderful experience. Thank you. We had about 15 four year olds (!!) there and they were engaged and entertained the entire 90 minutes. They made pizza and decorated cupcakes and had an absolute ball. I highly recommend Young Chefs to anyone looking to host a fun children’s party - and we will certainly be back for cooking classes! Also, the goody bags they provided for favors were adorable and useful (pizza cuter and measuring spoons) — it made it easy for me and it sure beat just throwing more candy at the kids. Thanks!!

This place offers a convenient and peaceful alternative to the re application process, as it pertains to TANF also! I'm grateful AND impressed. Keep up the good work!

I went there to get help filling out an application for the SNAP program and they were very helpful. I was referred by a flyer. Otherwise I wouldn't have known to get help from there. Just remember to walk around to the front of the building.

This is a great place for kids in the East Atlanta area to find help with school and be able to participate with others. In activities that helps with social skills. My nieces and nephews and my baby girl attended the kids club when they where younger.This place even gave my niece a place to have her ???? shower. Thanks so much for all the great memories.

My 6yo son just finished his 1st week at Oak Tree Camps and in his words, “it was amazing”! He came home everyday excited to tell me about all of the fun he had. He said he wants to go all summer every summer. As a parent, I am very pleased and impressed with the all of the counselors and leaders that I met. Every single person was friendly and helpful and I felt very comfortable leaving my son in their capable hands. Also, communication by email and text throughout the week were excellent. Get your kids into Oak Tree Camps today! You will not be disappointed.

The staff at Oak Tree camps raises the bar for summer programs. Our child can't stop talking about how much fun it was at Oak Tree camp! The camp counselors are friendly and courteous; the activities are fun for the kids and the organized daily schedule is great! We appreciated the fact that field trips and daily swim were included in the price of camp. We would recommend Oak Tree to others! We are thankful we found Oak Tree!

This will be our 3rd year at OTC. My son loves it. Gwen and her staff do an amazing job. This very anxious mom has no qualms about leaving my child in their care.The camp is really well run and they are very receptive to concerns and suggestions. I have recommended it to several people and they have loved it as well.

Alumni Association is a great place to come back and network with Georgia Tech alums and current student. Also, they conduct 100+ events each year keeping in mind it's members who come from a plethora of majors. Their spirit of improvement and the diversity of alums that get together each year is the real strength of GT Alumni Association. I'm a member and I highly recommend to get involved if your are a current student or an alumni. The building is located right next to Visitors Parking one. It is advisable to park on the surface lot and walk down the bridge directly into the building. So, convenient! (Tip: there is another parking lot behind the Alumni house, just in case you visiting level 1 and for short time) Go Jackets!
