Excellent place to stay if you are lucky enough to visit Block Island by private boat. There are a large number of public and private mooring balls, a good anchorage area for those that like to hang on the hook. There are also an assortment of marinas if you prefer to stay dockside. Easy well bouyed entrance channel that makes coming and going a breeze.

If you anchor as much as we do you find that a clear-water anchorage is a rarity...but one that also offers a free pump-out, a trash pick up boat and enough room to fit 100's of boats in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean! New Harbor on Block Island is truly a very special place.

Definitely a great place to kayak or paddle board. You can rent kayaks and paddle boards at the site, or launch your own from here, and go down the river and get to a nice sandbar and beach. Even on cloudy days it's fun to go and spend the day out here. Highly recommend!

Have been to Narrow River Kayaks twice now and already looking forward to it next time i am in southern RI! The staff is youthful and educational. The 4 hour time frame is perfect to paddle around, head to the river mouth for some beach time, and still have a full vacation day to head to Newport for the evening for example.

I have been a camper here for 5 years. Every summer this is were I would spend it, the location of the camp is absolutely just breathtaking and the people are so much fun. we are able to walk around so much and there is no indoors, everything is outside. That's what makes this place unique. but I love it because of all the people I have meet there. And all the memories that I will have for long to come.

This camp is amazing! It's run be caring and energetic people. My kids love it and we love the diversity, that they are outside and unplugged, mass on Wednesdays,that they post pictures of their day so we feel in touch. There is so much to love about this Camp. They come home exhausted but excited to tell us all they did. The perfect Camp covering mind body and soul. LOVE LOVE LOVE Mother of Hope Camp

Pros: Open to the public and a relatively cheap option. Have psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers on staff. Cons: I found that some members of their staff are not as transparent as possible.

I cant believe how horrible there service is, they tell me i have to cancel and appointment 24 hours notice and they wanna call me at the last minute to cancel... this is ridiculous you are interfering with my damn health!!!! This is unfair!

The ship is absolutely beautiful and the crew/staff do a great job of walking visitors through the construction and living arrangements of the ship. I highly recommend anyone looking to learn more about the early days of sail in a modern sense see the OHP here in Newport!

Not that there's anything wrong with the Arcadia branch, but I feel the membership pricing is unfair. Arcadia doesn't have the amenities that Westerly and Mystic have (e.g., both of which have pools, etc.). What is disappointing is that those who only use the Arcadia branch are paying the same, quite high, membership fee (over $600/yr for an adult) as those who routinely use the other branch's many amenities. I personally won't drive 20 minutes to workout if I can drive 5 and have no interest in to using the pool, so I wish they'd offer lower tiered membership pricing for members that doesn't include privileges at Mystic & Westerly.
