I have loved coming to the KROC! It was the best way to keep healthy. There are so many options for activities. I really appreciated the services to Senior citizens. I loved the pool and swam laps most days. I found the center well kept up and the exercise equipment in good condition. The security services makes one feel safe. The staff seemed to take pride in their jobs and in providing professional services. Thank you for all the efforts you employ to make KROC Center an enjoyable experience.

I've been working out at On Your Mark Coaching and Training with Hassan Shabber for over a year now. I highly recommend him. He's always adapted his trainings to my body type. He knows how far to push me.

I was looking for the perfect Father's Day gift and found them and so much more at One Strange Bird. After not visiting any shops and social distancing it was nice to visit a little boutique. They had hand sanitizer as you walk in and i felt very comfortable. They have such an eclectic mix of jewelry, candles, books, and cards. The owner and her adorable daughter are super helpful and fun!
Perfect local neighbor gift shop with a great array of gifts, jewelry, candles, bath items, books, baby gifts, Chicago and other worldly knickknacks! Also the best cards for your friends with a great sense of humor! A must visit in Chicago!

Best place to gain knowledge that can change hearts.

Not in the best condition as it is weathered and well used. But it is an outdoor court that is free to use. Hang your racket by the entrance to reserve a court for the next even/odd hour.

Dealing with the Graduate school admissions has been the worst process I've ever experienced. Unanswered emails, no one answers the phone, they "couldn't find" an email that was sent 3 times.
I was admitted to a different school. I do not recommend this school.
Best experience but I wish there were options to take Typography and art courses in the morning instead of the afternoon since I have time for the mornings and not the afternoons.

My daughter has been swimming for this club for three years. I also wanted to offer my opinion, as I was shocked at the negative experience listed above. I have 4 children, all athletes for multiple sports. Although I cannot compare this swim club to others, I can compare coaching styles to other sports as we have endured at least 25 over our parenting years.
When we signed up our children for teams, we do not expect them to become awarding winning athletes. We want them to enjoy a physical activity, learn to set goals, persevere to achieve those goals, experience working as a team and handle wins and losses with gratitude and poise. We want them to learn to balance life with family, faith, fun and education.
Coach Ed, Coach Shelia and Coach Carlos are a class act of leadership for my daughter. They handle wins and losses with grace. They beam with pride with jobs well done, console disappointment with grace and handle disruptive behavior firmly. They encourage the children to attend swimming practice and meets as often as possible without jeopardizing their academics and family life. I have appreciated and trusted their roll in our daughter's life as our values and goals have aligned well.
When my daughter started 3 years ago, she did not qualify for any regional events and at the banquet Coach Shelia highlighted her along with everyone else on the team. My daughter beamed with pride. This past season, had she not aged up a few weeks before state competitions, my daughter would have qualified for numerous state events. We did not participate in any other training outside of the team, evidence that the athletic coaching is top quality as well as the character building opportunities.
I would highly recommend North Park Swim Team for families and athletes that want top quality coaching and competitive experiences that value balancing athletics with education and positive sportsmanship.
Northside college prep is a great swim team to is a great environment and I love watching the kids from the stands and on deck The coaches there are nice and respectful to the swimmers I would recommend you bring your kids and swimmers here
Very basic swim club. This is more like a learn to swim type of club. Their best swimmers all leave because it really is not a competitive swim environment or club swimming. It is also mainly a girl club as they have very few boys. The main coach Ed is also kinda in my opinion should not be working with young children his approach is not geared towards the younger swimmer. It is pretty clear he prefers to coach girls swimming. We left after only one season and also witnessing all the teen boys being ignored by Ed so they left. The other coach Carlos is also not very good. The swim club is more a recreational and social swim club for children. They enter all the worst meets and stay away from the competitive real swimming type meets. If you have a swimmer 12 and under then this is a good starter club to get your feet wet if a fast paced competitive club is to much for your child 12 and under. If you want to swim competitively 12 and up look elsewhere. The coaches for the younger swimmers are ok but I think you can do better elsewhere. Cost about $125 per month, other clubs are much more expensive so I guess you get what you pay for. Check out Evanston YMCA Flying Fish, or SWIFT if you are looking or a competitive swim club in this area.

We brought our 18-month-old son here and had a pretty good time. I wouldn't say I was creeped out as another reviewer wrote, but it wasn't the cleanest. Some of that you just have to live with at a place like this, but they could definitely have done a better job. Cleaning big Little Tyke climbing toys with a wipe just isn't going to cut it.
In all, we would probably go back, though. Our son had a great time. Just be sure to carefully wash their hands (and yours) afterward!
Lisa does a great job keeping the kids happy and active. My children truly enjoy coming here and I'm glad I found a place I feel comfortable leaving them.
We take our kids here all the time. We love that there is plenty of free parking - anywhere else in Chicago - parking is a nightmare. Plus - it's a nice place to play when it is so freaking hot out.

Both of my kids have gone to MPA for years....we love it! They genuinely care for the kids and the instructors are very knowledgeable. The kids all have fun there. They put on awesome recitals twice a year as well as allowing many performance opportunities for the various dance teams.
AMAZING dance studio. My daughter had been dancing at MPA since she was 3. She's now 7 and she had developed so much skills and confidence in that amount of time. Teachers are very competent and so dedicated in what they do. They make sure dancers are learning and at the same time having fun. Owners are very caring and kind. My daughter always looks forward to her dance classes. Mpa had been her second home and we are grateful that they did not only help her grow as a dancer, but as a person. I definitely highly recommend this studio!

I was a student at MAC sense it opened and the environment was great but I was not ready for the real world after leaving the school and adjusting was really hard. Taking tests was a big difficulty for me and also receiving grades instead of passing no matter what. There was also one teacher that would squeeze children’s hands with a lot of pressure in order to hurt them as a punishment which was very unethical especially for kids that were in 1st grade.
Thoughtfully engaged teachers/administration and wonderful community.
My daughter attended MAC for approximately 1 year and started at age 5.5 months. MAC is so loving and nurturing and caring. The facility is top notch, clean, bright, safe, stimulating and nurturing. I remember walking in for my first tour and thinking it was a baby oasis. The children there are so calm and quiet. The infant classrooms are led by trained Montessori teachers who truly got to know my daughter. She absolutely loved her teachers and Spanish was her favorite part of the day. At a little over six months old my girl was drinking out of an open cup and being placed on a potty to encourage the familiarity of a toilet. All of this was great stuff, but at the end of the day my daughter was truly loved and safe there. I felt good taking her each day.
It is by far the best daycare I have experienced and I have two children and have been through several daycares. The administration is extremely responsive. If you have a problem, Fosca tries to solve it immediately. The teachers get to your baby so well and really work with them. The parents of all children at MAC are involved and know what is happening in the school. If you are looking for a daycare in the Loop, I so highly recommend checking out MAC for your infant or toddler. In my opinion, there is no comparison!

Morgan Park Academy is an AMAZING school! I was very concerned with the transitions over the past 6 years but Morgan Park Academy has sustained the unanticipated changes very well. The results are apparent in its students. Academy students are extremely motivated and polite and most importantly, they know how to speak with confidence to their peers, teachers, and adults. I am always impressed when I speak to any Academy student. The small class size allows each student to learn how to properly express himself or herself with ease and diplomacy. The teachers know each student not only by name, but also by background and personality. This education is second to none and I am thrilled that my children are being mentored by the best of the best.
It is funny, most of the elite private schools have instructors with no "teaching" certificate, but we do not chastise them. And, we all know what a great job public schools do with teachers who have teaching certificates. Morgan Park is a GREAT school!
As an alum and mom of three MPA students, I can vouch that MPA is a special place! My kids are thriving here and we couldn't be happier.

I’d also like to say Bryan F Deserves a raise, I was there almost everyday this summer and he was super helpful and always working like crazy.
Midtown is the best club in Chicago hands down.
Updated review: in my past review below, I complained about too many kids in the pool. This will likely still be an issue going forward, but I'm bumping this review up to 5 stars to show appreciation for how seriously Midtown has taken their COVID safety effort and how comfortable I feel at the club because of those efforts. The club is the only place I go besides the grocery store and it's saving my sanity. Thank you Midtown for all your efforts. Best of luck with the ongoing crazy situation and best wishes that all employees stay safe and well.
Old Review: This club has everything, but there are way too many kids in the pool and basically no control over them. If they ever get around to building the rumored family pool, so that there's finally an adult only pool, it'll be the best club on the city by far. Until then, I can't go over 3 stars.
Edit: in response to the owner's response - it's the outdoor pool that has too many kids and there is no schedule. There's only 10-15 min adult swim each hour. The indoor pool has scheduled kids classes, but that's not where people want to hang out; it's lane swimming and not overrun with kids. So to clarify, they need to sort out the situation with the kids in the OUTDOOR pool.
I love Midtown! They have an amazing facility with the best staff, classes and group fitness instructors. I have felt very safe working out there throughout Covid. Couldn’t recommend it enough! The pool is also amazing in the summer!

I really like this place my 11 yr old played here for fall ball . Everything great yes parking is hard , but I never had an issue . Always get there and find parking space . I’m looking forward to put my 15 yr old in softball .????????

McFetridge has the most passionate yoga instructors. Each and everyone brings 100% to their practice. Their guidance is very easy to understand. There is no judgement whether you're a beginner like me or a long time yogi.
Great cpd ice skating classes, tennis, yoga and ballet. They are on a different schedule then the rest of the park districts so check their website for updates. Also great for open skate when available.
