I went to see To Kill a Mockingbird and was impressed. It wasn’t my first broadway show but this one is top notch. Much better than the book and even the movie. It’s much faster than the book but still talked about all mayor details of the story. Staff there is friends and the seats are comfortable as well.

Saw the production of "To Kill A Mockingbird" here. While very different from the book and the Gregory Peck movie we all love, I completely enjoyed it. Ed Harris's performance was a highlight. The set designs were fascinating! The historic theatre is beautiful and the staff did a great job helping us to our seats. Would definitely see shows here again!

The word "bully" was NEVER heard there. I loved it there, and they really prepared me for Middle School. Thank you, PS 87. Especially 5th grade teacher Lauri Posner.

I absolutely love Nintendo! When I turned 18 two years ago, I went to New York City to visit my brother and he knew I loved visiting the Nintendo store. So we took the trip further up town! I planned on spending all my allowance there, which was more than $200. I was pleased to figure out that the customer service is beyond amazing! It really was one of the best days of my life, and the Nintendo store surely played a role in it.

One of NYC’s best stores, hands down. Nintendo NY is always fun for everyone in the family. The display exhibits change a few times of year and makes store feel like a living museum. Im always amazed at how quickly they restock and bring in new items. The demo game stalls are also always providing great fun for the kids. Love, love, LOVE this place!!!

My child has attended Pusteblume since the day they opened and he loves it. The space is really lovely, the teachers and children are wonderful, and the location is optimal. They offer both German and Spanish programs with native speakers. It has been a real pleasure to see my child grow up at Pusteblume. Their curriculum has helped him learn to participate in activities, have fun, and be productive in a classroom environment. The discovery based curriculum is great for our child, as the kids are encouraged to learn by focusing on what interests him.

My son Maxi has been a student since they opened. He spoke German when he joined and quickly became fluent in English and now Spanish. We speak German, Spanish and English in our household and we wanted to make sure our son acquired all three languages. Some people doubted that it would be possible, but he is proof that early multi-language education is possible. I'm very happy with the quality of his education so far.

The teachers are very responsible and they make sure that the kids speak and practice again and again, yet build in fun activities for kids to enjoy. Highly recommended

I went yesterday for my appointment and absolutely everyone that I encountered was amazing! Super kind and caring and made me feel as comfortable as possible. I wish I remembered the name of the last person that attended me. All I know is B. Kane as far as her name, not sure if that’s her but if so, she was my absolute angel. Thank you guys so much for the positive experience.

Love Junk Playground!!

This is an interesting concept, but the people who work here are militant and won’t respect differing views. My kid turned five last month and we headed over to try out the playground. Our son is very confident and not risk adverse. We decided that the area designated for older kids was not right for him yet; kids were chucking sheet metal and hammers off the side of a one and a half story scaffold with only a thin rope or metal bar running around the sides. We also have a 5 month old. We were chatting with friends and tending to the baby when our son crossed over to the older kids’ section. We saw him go and tried to go after him to bring him back to the younger kids’ area. He immediately headed for the scaffold, grabbed a hammer and headed to the top. We were not comfortable with this and politely asked staff if we could retrieve our child. The staff said no, we weren't allowed. I then politely asked if a staff member could get our child for us. The staffer said no, she wasn’t comfortable infringing on our child’s freedom in this way. I told her I was concerned for his safety and she told me that was my issue, not my son’s and I shouldn’t punish my son for my hang-ups. By this time, he was leaning head first over the scaffolding and I was worried. I again asked if someone could let him know that I wanted him to come out of the play area and again, I was told no, that the staffer would not “do that” to my child. At this point, my husband walked past the staffer and over to our son, asked him to get down and walked him out of the play yard. The staffer followed us out of the playground basically telling us that we were disrespectful, that we made her feel that she was doing a bad job and that we are, essentially, bad parents. We apologized, said she was doing a fine job, but that this just wasn’t for us. She kept at it telling us our son was perfectly safe and that my husband and I were the problem. We essentially agreed with her, again apologized, and tried to leave, but she would not let it go. At this point it got comical. Bottom line: it’s not for everybody, and if you don’t think it is for you, don’t try it. They literally refused to give me access to my 5 year old! Ironically, you have to sign a waiver (even though it is perfectly safe and we are apparently paranoid nutjobs). Also, we were bad parents because we weren’t watching our son closely enough to keep him from running to the dangerous area…except the whole point is to encourage kids to be independent and free from the watchful eye of the helicopter parent. Head over to the awesome slides and ropes playground instead. It is still an adventure and you won’t feel judged and shamed...and your kid won't leave Governor's Island with a concussion.

My nieces and nephews love this place. No adults getting in they’re way, just the freedom and willingness to build and interact playfully with others. I have recognized a positive growth in the kids. We come back as much as we can!

Save yourself the headache and spend your hard earned cash on a new bike at one of the other shops within a 15 minute walk of Sid's (I've had consistently positive experiences with Bicycle Habitat and Echelon Cycles which are both pretty close). Back in June I purchased a new Cannondale and the entire experience has been a nightmare. As the old adage goes, it's not what happens that's important but how you respond and the team at Sid's has failed miserably at providing ANY level of acceptable customer service. As soon as I started having issues with my new bike on day 3 of ownership, I was treated like a nuisance, never followed up with, and spoken to with blatant disrespect from the manager of Sid's as I expressed my concerns and tried to come to some resolution. Notice the common thread in these reviews? I wish I would've before it was too late.

I can't say enough good things about Paul and his services. You won't meet a nicer person and I've been very happy with the work he's done on both a more simple job putting the finishing touches on an out-of-the-box bike for my wife and a much more complex job assembling a custom flat-bar road bike from the components I provided. Excellent work done with a smile and a handshake - can't beat that!

Another amazing evening during a public access evening to screen another episode of Justin Fornals Uneplained and Unexplored. Such a fantastic historical location, you'll be happy if you get a tour and make it to the top floor. They set out crudites, I'm not sure that's always the case but I'm 2 for 2. With items of historical exploration on display covering millennia this is another NYC museum that you can peak in on some not too often seen museum items. Anyone can walk into the Met, this takes patience and it. Is. Worth. It.

Elegant old world building with dark worn wood walls, and walls filled with curious from around the world. Lots of weekly, regular talks driven by the Club's core goals of exploration and discovery. The great room on the top floor filled with artifacts and animal hides/heads from around the world is fantastic. Wonderful to see organizations like this staying strong in this modern world of ours.

The rides just don't go around the city, but the leaders often know interesting information about historic places.
