Without exception the best YMCA in the area. The managers and staff are family friendly, professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. Little Christopher loves the pool for they keep it warm and clean. A true small town family experience that is so rare to find theses days.

While I have visited many YMCA's, this location stands out in particular because of the sense of community that is created. The gym is never overcrowded and the staff make an effort to build a personal relationship with each member. This is a great place for people of all fitness levels - members have access to group exercises classes for all levels, three free personal training sessions, affordable child care, and the opportunity to make a difference in the community.

Bruce and Co. are the best. We just started road cycling and as such had a lot of questions. Bruce helped us through everything and in doing so has a made a customer for life

I could give the staff 6 stars... I live on the east coach and spend each winter in Santa Barbara from Dec-Feb. The staff treats me like family and goes out of these way to help customers and tailor their advice and support to the needs of each person. See you next winter!

As I'm a fan of the Kimpton brand I've wanted to stay at the Goodland for some years. Its layout is good for the pandemic era that we're in, as the rooms are all accessed from the outdoors. The staff were nice and accommodating as well and the lobby was exactly what I'd expect from the Kimpton brand. However, the interior of the rooms seemed a bit outdated and in need of a facelift. I didn't feel this was on-par with the Kimpton look and feel. This is a bit different than their usual hotels but this really was more like a roadside motel and less like their usual upscale boutique brand. It's exactly a roadside motel, actually. The area lacks in charm - all stripmall and no healthy offerings as far as food is concerned. You'll have to drive into Santa Barbara for any good restaurants. The outdoor patio area, which costs more, was in full view of anyone walking by or the pool. The shower/bath combo and sinks reminded me of 1990's remodels. There was chipping near tiles on the drywall/plaster. I thought this would be more like the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs, but it fell short of this expectation. I'm glad we stayed there because it satisfied my curiosity for this property, but we'll be staying elsewhere next time.

Wife and I are cruising the PCH for ten days. booking places as we go. Stayed at the Kimpton inHuntington beach. First Kimpton ever. AWESOME! After the day in Santa Barbara I booked the Goodland. Should be renamed “Badland!! Outside entrances. Could see right through the tissue paper curtains from the parking lot, o yea WE NEVER GOT OUT OF THE CAR! For the $280 it was going to be I would of stayed at the Best Western next door! We are not fancy people and I travel for work and live in IHG properties 11 months out if the year. This place was a nope!! Maybe $70 a night but reading other reviews we are so glad we kept going up the road. Now laying our heads on comfy pillows at a staybridge. Pass on this disaster. You can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig!!!!!

lol, this place. It wasn't absolutely horrible but by no means are the rooms even close to being what the pictures look like online. And the bed was really uncomfortable. The room was pretty worn down and for some reason our room had literally no decorations at all. (room 121) Not one picture on the wall or anything. You can't open the window curtains cause then everyone can just see right inside so it just felt dark and dingy the entire time. We had to flush the toilet a certain way cause the handle wouldn't function correctly. The hotel was really empty (I'm assuming covid) but they put us right next to other guests while there were other rooms fully available. We stayed here 3 nights and I was really looking for forward to a "nice getaway" at $200 a night.... Definitely wasn't that and won't be staying here again. The only reason I wasn't completely bummed is that people who worked here were incredibly nice and sweet... I know it's not their fault that Kimpton didn't spend the right budget in renovations. Come on Kimpton!... At least price it more appropriately. My husband and I honestly couldn't wait to get our stay over with... such a bummer.

Santa Barbara's leading tennis club. SBTC is the perfect balance of a high performance tennis facility, and low-key family friendly social club. Tucked into canyon between Foothill rd. and Mountain Dr. SBTC has a zen like healing vibe that's good for your mind, body and soul. SBTC has healthy eats from the Cafe, a caring staff and one of the most technologically advanced tennis training facilities in the region with head Pros, Larry Mousouris and Hugh Stratman who have helped produced nationally ranked players with their cutting edge programs for both youth and adult tennis.

This is one if easiest and most accessible park right along the ocean. I is absolutely one if my favorite places to visit. if you are visiting Santa barbara and don't know where to go first visit this place and then gather your thought.

This is small but stretched out along the beach on shoreline drive. The speed limit runs at 25 mph here and you have to stick to that for pedestrian and bike users. You can use a hammock on a couple of good trees. I've seen a family do it. Two parking lots are available to try and accommodate everyone who visits. The north lot has two massive trees that covers three cars for shade Good luck on getting a spot!

I am a parent who registered for the Rocket Science summer camp for my son together with a friend for the week Jul 30 - Aug 3 2018. The camp was located at Vieja Valley School. I was excited to hear my son coming back with excitement after the first day of the camp. Instead he came back frustrated and both him and his friend felt they have wasted the entire day playing a computer game (they call it Kerbal Space) just punching keys to shoot down rockets. 4 hours of doing that and maybe another 30 minutes of something different with 2 hours of break time. When I communicated with the Camp Director, Onolee Zwicke, she advised me to be patient and give him time to enjoy the camp. The second day of camp was short lived. My son (and his friend) called me to pick them up as they were totally uncomfortable to remain in the camp. Ms Zwicke didn't seemed to empathise with the boys but chastised them for not telling the teacher their concern (which the boys did) before calling me to pick them up. The boys didn't understand what they were supposed to do and were using soldering guns with only one glove and got their fingers burnt. Our boys are sensible intellectual kids who have attended many camps in the past. They enjoy learning and was not getting that from this camp. They had never called to ask to be picked up at the early part of a camp and have always finished a camp. We never had a bad experience like this camp. To top it all, Ms Zwicke intimidated my boys attempting to make them feel they are in the wrong and told me that she will not refund our money ($620).
