While it is by all means a "functioning" pool, there were quite a few dead insects on the pool deck. The pool is also saltwater, I don't personally mind too much, but some do. This review is simply based on the pool/area around the pool, not the swim team (coaches, effectiveness, ect.) that occurs there. Also, any "issues" could have been fixed by the time you are reading this.

The swim team seems very active there but the location and the facility seem a little rundown.

I love this little school and appreciate how hard teachers work to educate the children with what little resources are available. Our daughter is in Pre-K Spanish Immersion and has the most wonderful teachers and experienced so much personal and academic growth, last year. I wish I could take some of the credit, as a parent, but the school and employees were responsible for her success. We are looking forward to the coming school year!

This is were I got to know more about Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I respectfully encourage you Catholic brothers and sisters that haven't experienced what is a conversion which up to this time I'm still in the process. This is where I spent 1st grade to 7th grade - 1951 to 1958. It gave me my educational foundation, for that, I will be eternally indebted. The educational foundation that I received allowed me to graduate high school, college and to have an educational career lasting almost a half-century. I still have fond and vivid memories of MS Castillo, Sister Stanislaus, Sister Juliana and of course, Sister Bartholomew. With the Incarnate Word sisters, you had no choice, but to learn. I STILL can diagram a sentence even after 57 years ! All I can say is : Praise be the Incarnate Word !

St Lukes Episcopal School is the best school in the City of San Antonio, offering a private and faith based education. I have seen my two children grow beyond my expectations, both in knowledge, and character. We have been at the school now for 5 years, and I have no doubt that it is a wonderful place to learn and grow for our children. St Lukes is a school but it feels like a family, always caring and seeking to take care of one another. Every staff member, administrator, and teacher knows my child by name, and knows who we are, that is one of the best feelings in the world. Teachers at St Lukes are there because of the same principles we have in sending our children there, to make them confident leaders through faith based education. After 5 years of being at St Lukes, I know we made the right choice, and we foresee ourselves being there for many years to come, including for our third son. St Lukes is a community dedicated to faith and education in this new age of learning, and works continuously to face the challenges of changing times in education, technology, and society. This co-ed school focuses on preparing our kids for the future, and in giving them the faith base needed to make informed decisions down the road. I have witnessed the changes in my children and those of my friends children. The greatest thing about SLES is that I consider everyone in the school community an extended part of my family, that being, part of this faith based family community seeking the best balanced education possible for our children. It is true, St Lukes is making confident scholars, leaders, and citizens. That is why we love and support St Lukes Episcopal School.

Beautiful church. We come here when my mother visits since she prefers Spanish mass. Very organized, nice music great priest. I would make this my permanent church but my husband feels at home at the church in Randolph. Totally recommend both churches

I'm not the type of person that would normally consider sending my daughter to a private school, but her cousins are both there so we thought it might be fun. Honestly, not a lot of thought went into it. It's been just a few months and the results have been eye opening. She's more communicative, out going (if that was possible), and has picked up a ton of good habits from the other students. Her teacher seems tough but fair, and we like that. Another big perk is the parents. The community seems very welcoming. We've gone to many of the family functions and have had fun meeting everyone. The other parents seem very involved and sincere. The facilities are top notch, the staff, teachers, and coaches are all welcoming and very helpful. I would do it again in a heartbeat. It was a great decision and I highly recommend it!

We love this school! Our girls have attended for four years and they are thriving. The Montessori method is an individualized educational approach that teaches students to love the learning process. At the primary level (3-5 years) there is a big emphasis on focus and concentration and it's amazing! After her first year our little one could sit and pay attention to an activity for 10 times longer than she could at the beginning of the year. At higher levels (grades 1-8) students are responsible for completing their individual work plan (with a little encouragement, of course). The students really take ownership of their education. MSSA is an amazing gift to our community!

We love MSSA. The teachers, the other parents, and of course the beautiful children. There’s always some activity to get involved with. It’s been a busy and exciting first year and we couldn’t be happier.
