I and 3 friends come to Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head every year for a week of golf and camaraderie. We will often play courses that are our favorites, but we always try to play one or two courses that are new to us. This year we decided to try Man O War, despite it's $70 price tag, because of the hype, which I now suspect was self generated. While the course was in generally good shape, there was NOTHING that justified the price. We have played the Witch, and really enjoyed that course, despite the fact it was older and not in as good of condition as Man O War. We will not be back to ManOWar at $70 a round. It is a $40 course, at best.

Nice course. Enjoyed all the water and sand traps. Challenging but not impossible. There had been a lot of rain the week before so there were muddy spots and carts were restricted to cart paths which was understandable. Only complaint was the greens. They had been aerated and were EXTREMELY hard and bumpy. Putting was very difficult. Bought our golf through mbn.com and it came with lunch coupons with two free drinks. Well worth the money we paid. Staff was friendly.

This is definitely one of the best tracks in the Myrtle Beach area. If you're looking for a course that isn't impossible but still brings a challenge, this is a great track for you. The views are amazing, there is all kinds of wildlife from herons to bald eagles, definitely a must play if you're in South Carolina!

Absolutely wonderful place! Great courts and great staff! Brad, Graham, Greg, and Tim truly make the place special! Great clinics, lessons, and racket patience needs. Best prices and nice brand new courts!

Played Possum Trot today because it’s one of the courses I played here when I first started playing many years ago. Word has it they will be closing soon so it was a nostalgic round. I took my son, daughter and future son in law. Didn’t bat an eye when they charged us $59.00 a player on a course that doesn’t live up to that rate. My daughter has played 3 rounds of golf in her life. We played on a Tuesday for a reason, so that she could play and not interfere with weekend golfers. The staff was friendly for the most part. Guy at the counter could brush up on his attitude a little. Starter was great. Snack bar attendant phenomenal. But things got a little weird on hole 11 or 12. Can’t remember exactly. We are playing slow as my daughter is a beginner. We let a twosome play through. As we sit and watch the twosome play through the ranger comes up and advises us that “we don’t let groups play through here” and goes on to lecture me on why I shouldn’t let groups play through. I told him I had never heard of such a thing and that golf etiquette dictates that you let faster groups play through. The ranger was an older gentleman. Very polite and I can only assume he was enforcing someone else’s policy. Regardless, I know the course is closing soon. I expected a much better experience. I certainly expected that golf etiquette would be honored at a course that had been around as long as this one. For the money, go play somewhere else.

Great golf course with a amazing staff. local atmosphere and always smiling. Fun course there is not a hole lot of trouble to get into but a lot of fun if like hitting driver open fairways with some doglegs to cut over make up some ground all in all the course was in great shape and if they keep it open I will be back on my next vacation. I would love to see them stay open. I would say it’s a course for all ages and capabilities good, great or bad golfers alike would have a great time here. Thanks again for a awesome golf experience.

Love, love LOVE! Possum Trot! Bring Hollywood! Felt so good to be in a setting fit for an Elvis movie, seriously, palm trees, gentle breeze, beautiful greens! Come on out and play Possum Trot, save Possum Trot from urban development! A classic! Loved it!

I've been one of Coach Mark's students for 3 years now and I can confidently say that he's not only helped me improve as a tennis player, but as a person overall. Coach Mark makes it his priority to teach every single person on the team to his full extent. He pushes his players to be the best that they can while boosting their confidence in all aspects of life. I enjoyed having him as an instructor and would highly recommend him to others.

Fantastic! Mark is so patient, knowledgable and most importantly fun! It was very interesting to watch what look to be simple exercises develop into tennis technique! We are very impressed with the way he coaches our 4 year old!

My son is taking lessons from Mark and has grown tremendously in a very short period of time. I have seen Mark working with other students as well. He is amazingly patient and does a great job determining where students are in their progression and creating a plan for their improvement.

Great conditions. Interesting layout for about 3 of the 18 holes. Cool seeing the wealthier houses around the course. Great marsh area on a couple of the holes. I had a great time because I took my 5 and 3 year old and we took the cart to the beach in between the front and back 9's. That is something you can't do at any other Myrtle Beach course. Great course overall...just not worth the price. When locals say it's worth it one time....no, not quite worth it. I generally spend at most two hours as a single player. Given I took my two youngest kids to the beach I was there about 5 hours, so I made an entire day of it. Great, fun experience, but I'm not going to do it again. Just too pricey.

First rate facility! Well organized, properly put together, and had everything that the tennis players needed to get through their matches. Also a very gorgeous view of the ocean!
