This town is a dump. In the middle of the ghetto, crime is very high, people are robbed and burglarized constantly by heroin addicts. The police are a JOKE!

I've been playing MSCR slow pitch softball for over ten years now. The fields are bad, the price goes up all the time, MSCR's website is awful and communication is not great. The leagues are only competitive if you're a bunch of jacked athletes with $300 bats. For those average joes who want to play some ball, enjoy a summer evening, and have fun. MSCR leagues are not for you. Also for the older crowds, 8:30pm games really suck when you have to be in the office the next morning. This will be my last year and I may not even make it. I recommend looking for a different league before signing up with MSCR.

The genuine love and support the teachers give to their students is nothing short of extraordinary. I couldn't ask for a better school for our kids.

Can't imagine a better educational model and the teachers are second to none. We hope to keep our children here through 8th grade, which is the highest they currently offer. Love the multigenerational classrooms- but that's just part of it. Attend an 'alumni panel'. The confidence these kids have in themselves and their love of learning is what sold us on MCMS.

They are the best. Caring, compasionate, amazing Doctors, nurses and staff. My family is so blessed to have found them they have given us more time almost 2 years cancer free for my husband and praying for many more but if this cancer does come back I know this is where we will be. Great place great people.

UW Carbone is like sending your kid to play in the Walmart parking lot instead of to Disney World. Horrible doctors who made many mistakes. Dr. Amanda Parkes misdiagnosed another ailment for terminal cancer pain without doing any exam or test..when there was no cancer in the body there at all. Doctors claimed they made a negligent mistake in their first biopsy of an organ & then requested to do a second biopsy of the same organ which is very painful. Mean Dr. Parkes yelled at patient when the patient complained about poor care. Doctors offer little palliative & showed very little interest in extending the life of patient. Thanks for refusing to remove the quarter-sized cancer tumor & allowing it to grow into a baseball sized painful oozing open wound!! UW doctors outside of Carbone said it would have been much better to have a small surgical wound than a giant cancer tumor & criticized Carbone 'care'. UW Carbone has such poor cancer outcomes there is a pipeline of Carbone patients sent directly to sub-standard hospice 'care' where they end patient lives. Carbone did nothing to make patient more comfortable & dissuaded patient from life-saving & life-extending treatment. Most patients won't be able to make reviews because they are no longer living. If you value your life at all or have been told you are terminal please seek a second opinion elsewhere. Mayo Clinic is ranked #2 in MN they are very good for second opinions v. UW Carbone ranked an also-ran #42 (significantly lower than other UW specialties & completely overrated).

This concerns the pool only. Monona Grove High School provides open swim to the public when the pool is not in use for the students. Generally it is open daily until about 3 pm when the student athletes practice. There are some days when there is no open swim due to swim meets at the school but these are minimal. (For example, in January 2016, the pool is closed to the public on only 3 days.) Weekends are much busier than weekdays. (On a cold, snowy, weekday you might find the entire pool is your alone.) This is a 25 meter pool that is heated. There are swim lessons for every age and every ability. The earliest lessons begin at 6 months of age. They even offer “Masters Swim” - this is geared for those entering a Triathlon and targets the swim portion. The pool is handicap accessible as there is a ramp with handrails for pool entry. You access the pool through the north entrance of the high school. There are lockers available. Officially there is a charge for pool use but when you’re the only one there.... Residents are charged $3 and non-residents $4.50 for the entire day. There are passes available as well as group rates.

I graduated from Oregon High School and thought it was a good school. I felt like I had a good balance of academics and extra-curricular activities. The only downside is that I felt like the community of Oregon was a little boring. I felt like for any excitement I had to go into Madison. When I turned 16 it wasn't a big deal, but it would have been nice if there was public transportation available to go into Madison.
